“If twenty or so years passed, and we were both still single, we’d find each other. I promised you I’d wait forever.” Michael whispered, and I froze. The night was perfect. Romantic and sexy fun, just what the doctor ordered, but then Michael had to bring up The Promise. Oh my God, I hadn’t thought of that in years, though of course I’d never forgotten it.
