The New Girl

310 Words
I woke up from my loud alarm clock on my bedside table. I got up and checked the time. 6:40 a.m marked the clock. I grabbed my phone and went on social media. All I could see on my feed were "the first day of school" posts. I got out of bed and turned off my phone to go get cold water so that it could wake me up. I went into my fridge and got milk and took out some cereal from my pantry. As I rushed eating I went straight to my room to get ready. I applied makeup on and got dressed. "I think this will do", I said with a loud sigh. I checked my phone for the time. It was currently 7:25 a.m. I grabbed all of my stuff and started walking to school. I didn't know what to feel at this point. I was nervous, excited and scared. Being the new girl for me was terrifying. I mean what if nobody liked me or what if I made no friends. I was very anxious.   As I got to my destiniation I got even more nervous than ever. I could see a group of guys outside the school looking at me. One of the guys wearing a black hoodie and some light blue jeans with his little man bun then asked me "Are you new here?". I then replied yes very quietly. He looked at me with a smirk on my face. I felt so awkward. I had nothing to do so I slowly walked away. As I backed away and started to walk he then said "Just be a careful cutie, I wouldn't want you to get hurt", with a wink.    I wonder what he meant by getting hurt. Who will hurt me? And who was this boy? Who was going to hurt me?...
