CHAPTER FIVE

~Luna~ It can't be. I can't be pregnant not now that I've just been rejected by my mate. “Here.” Hera handed me a potion. “What's this?” I furrowed my brow in confusion as I held the potion. “It's made from the clover of a purple wolf flower at the top of Mount Blackwood.” She replied. “It would delay your baby bump for a while till you can at least gather yourself. Take all the time you need to heal. I'll see you around.” Hera got off the bed and took her leave. There is no way I'm taking a potion from a woman I just met few minutes ago, it could be poison for all I know. “Pff.” I humphed, tossing the potion under the bed. My heart plunged into darkness, my whole world crumbled within a short period of time. What do I do now? “Alexa!” I squealed. Alexa is my half sister, she always said I could reach out if I needed anything. Now is the perfect time to reach out. I picked up my phone from the cupboard and dialed her number. It ranged for a while before she finally picked up. “Heyyyyy Luna, it's been a while.” She replied with joy infused in her voice. “Uhm heyy, I'm alright. I need…..” “I heard you got rejected Hahaha I guess dad was always right you are nothing but a mistake .” She cut in before I could finish or even ask her for help. I was dumbfounded. I couldn't take her insults anymore so I hung up. Her little jest brought back some memories that I wish I could forget. My father believed that all women should end in the kitchen and be treated as a servant. I was a rebel to him. I defied all odds and got myself an education, after which I got a job immediately I graduated. I returned home on the day of my commencement and he was so disappointed. He expected me to fail as always, but I've always put him to shame. But with my current state I'm more than a failure right now. My heart wrenched as I imagined the amount of mockery I would face if my father and family members hear of this. “Oh goddess, what do I do?” I bellowed. I have no choice but to tell them that's my only and last saving grace at least I'm family they won't throw me out. I grabbed a few of my things and packed it into a mini traveling box. I waited for the cover of darkness before leaving the mansion to avoid further mockery from the pack members. In no time, I was in a cab going to my father's house which was just a fifteen minutes ride from Roman's mansion. I heaved up a sigh as I approached the mahogany door at the entrance to my father's house. I hesitated for a while before finally knocking on the door. “Who is it?” A very familiar voice came from the inside. It's my mom. “It's me, Luna. Come open up, mother.” I yelled. The door came open and my eyes met with the glassu eyes of my mom's. “Oh my baby.” She mumbled as drew me into a hug. “Oh dear, you look so pale.” She lamented. “Where's dad?” I queried because on a normal day he'd be on the lawn reading the news in a newspaper. “He went to get somethings from the supermarket.” she replied. I cast a gloomy look as I sat in the living room. “Honey, I'm back. I couldn't get the oranges, the ones there aren't fresh.” My father walked in with some grocery bags blocking his view. I immediately got up to help him out. “Thanks dear.” He thanked me. He thinks I am mom. “Luna?!” He was taken aback a bit by my appearance. “Yes, father.” I replied meekly. “What the hell are you doing in my house? Aren't you independent anymore?” He blurted out those words like he had been wanting to say them for a very long time. “Oh please. Give her a break.” My mother chipped in. “This is my house and you don't tell me what to do. You think you can just come back to us after you've disgraced our family, huh?” My father was fuming. “I-I didn't know where else to go.” I replied with fear and regret in my voice. I was doing just fine until I attended that party, stupid me I should have just stayed home that day. “You can go to hell for all I care.” Father continued his outrage. His words pierce through my heart like a sharpened sword. Why would a father resent his own daughter this much? Whyyy? I have done nothing wrong. “I'm pregnant okay!” I yelled back at him, this with tears rolling down my cheeks. He laid back for some minutes while mum jumped in the air and embraced me. “You want to raise a bastard in my home? Never! You have embarrassed this family” I saw it coming to be honest I knew my father would never let me stay in his house with my pregnancy. “You are heartless and I despise you so much.” Mother lashed out and stormed up the stairs. “Happy now? You have caused a rift between me and your mother. There is no room for you in this house. As your father, I command you to leave this town and the pack immediately .” He commanded. “I have nowhere to go, father, please.” I pleaded hard. It was to no avail. He remained on his word. “Fine! I'll go, I'll leave.” I eventually succumbed. I returned to Roman's mansion and grabbed the rest of my luggage and ordered a ride. I traced the edges of the car's window whilst staring at the blue of moving objects. I have no destination in mind, nobody to help out, just me, my wit and my baby. One thing is certain though. I will prevail.
