Neil turned sharply to Albert. No way would he kiss his ex-boyfriend. His stomach clenched just thinking about kissing anyone except his blood-mate. But no, Albert had kissed him during his own conversion only as cover for the blood exchange, which had taken place on a park bench. That sharing of blood had facilitated the conversion, not the kiss.
Albert tipped up Neil’s chin. He didn’t kiss Neil now, but ran a finger along his jaw, sending a shiver down his spine. “You can do it, love.” The look in Albert’s eyes bored into Neil’s psyche, seeming, as always, as if he knew exactly what he had been thinking.
