"This way, we will lead you to your chambers now." They almost left me behind as I hadn't followed them at once, but Alaric stepped back to grab my hand and pull me forward. His eyes—they were so enchanting. The pull I felt was just irresistible. I released my hand from him to keep that distance, and his eyes twitched, showing he had just realized how inappropriate that looked.
I was made to understand that Elnora was the principal of the academy and she brought up conversations as we walked, but all I could think about was what had transpired between Ric and I since our journey. I intentionally walked a step back to watch Ric's back because I almost went breathless standing beside him.
"And these will be your rooms. Hers on the right and yours on the left."
