Samantha's POV
Our eyes locked instantly, and I shrank from embarrassment at my posture. I held a lot of clothes in my hands, which I dropped quickly.
I came down from the bed, pushing the bulk of cloth to the side, then adjusted myself to appear composed, except a line of sweat was dripping down my back, showing how stressed I had gotten in a few seconds.
Alaric only broke his gaze from me when Adrian jumped into his arms, making him drop the box to carry him with one hand. He played about his neck and chest, making Adrian giggle from the tickles it caused.
I let out a sigh, a smile stretching my lips as I watched them. It was a wholesome sight. I didn't mind life being this way for us. It was beautiful.
