Samantha's POV
I took urgent leave from the pack for two days. I had to be there for Liv, my friend. Once I arrived at Arcana Hills, I was immediately shown into the Dean's office, Miss Carol. Liv was already present; they had been waiting for me after hearing I had arrived at the academy.
I looked over at Liv; she looked utterly devastated, desperately holding back tears. Dean Carol was on her leather seat, sitting upright, with a subtle smirk playing on her lips. She wore a fitted ash-colored suit with a pairing pencil skirt and tie. Her face was stark, devoid of makeup, and her entire countenance was as strict as ever.
"Finally... You came," Carol said, gradually standing to her feet. I could see that smirk of victory on her face, as if she had done this to lure me back.
