Alaric's POV
The horror of the rogues emerging from their hiding spots hit me. I had pulled Samantha behind me. I had to protect her and then my pack. I wished she had listened to me and not come to the border, because nothing scared me right now more than putting her life in danger. I tried to remain composed and began issuing orders through the mind-link.
The sight was scary; we had never seen rogues in this number before. They had brought war to our doorstep.
I quickly mind-linked Kayson to bring reinforcement to the border. I ordered my general Oliver to secure the pack while we stopped the rogues from going past the fortress. Then I mind-linked my mother to take Adrian and stay with him till the chaos was over.
