Samantha's POV
I couldn't sleep at all. With everything that happened last night, how could I stop my mind from wandering?
Regardless, I had to get ready for the day. The pack was much busier than usual as a result of the rogue attack last night. Whatever preparations they had been making this entire time were now intensified.
As I walked towards Alaric's office, my mind kept churning with questions. Ariana had gone quiet after the fight, too, and I tried reaching her once more to ask her some questions.
"Ariana...." I called, checking if she was ready to talk.
"Yes," she answered tersely, and I sighed in relief because curiosity had been consuming me the rest of the night.
