Samantha's POV
I had to cook up a lie to tell Adrian the reason Alaric was in our room. I couldn't possibly tell him it was because I had fainted and had some vision. I didn't want to worry him. He was too young for all the drama happening in my life right now. While some were unavoidable for him to witness, I'd protect him from the ones I could.
Today, Luna Tamia had asked for a favour from me and that was to have Adrian for the day which I couldn't object to so I let her have him.
I had returned to my research like I hadn't fainted twice or had a surreal vision yesterday. Adam was quite respectful enough not to ask me anything. I could tell the question was heavy in his mouth, but he did his best to hold it back until he couldn't.
