Alaric's POV
After the car wreck, I found myself somewhere in the woods. My thought quickly went to Samantha and what might have happened to her. Fear crippled me but gave me the strength to get back on my feet. I needed to go to her, to save her from whoever and whatever had attacked us. This was the fourth scare she was giving me, and this time, it drove me out of my mind.
I let Storm take over as anger surged in like never before. I was going to destroy anyone that dared attack us, but I needed to save her. Her scent, mixed with blood, suddenly caught my attention, and I raced towards the direction leading to the road, but I suddenly felt a presence, and something huge pounced on me, carving its long, dirty claws into my skin.
