Samantha's POV
"Jack," I muttered, stepping tentatively into the room. My gaze swept the room again, locking onto Adams. I saw the link cuff on his arms, which made it impossible for me to mindlink him.
I quickly glanced from Alaric to Luna Tamia. If they had restricted Adams from mindlinking me, then Jack had already spilled the truth. My heart thumped, and I started to tremble.
I didn't know if Dean Carol had already reversed what Liv did. If she had, then it meant that a simple DNA test would prove Alaric to be the father.
It scared me because then it would mean that Alaric would carry out the threat he made to me the first time he confronted me about Adrian's paternity, that he'd take him away from me.
