I felt startled when Lily jumped into my arms and kissed me on the lips in front of Samantha and Adrian. It felt so wrong, and my entire body was repulsed by it. I didn't hug her back, nor did I kiss her back. All I could think of was Samantha and what she was thinking.
I knew I was the one feeling this incredible desire for her, yet I wondered what she'd think of me, especially after our vulnerable moment during the trip to nightveil, when I had hugged her and cried on her shoulders that night at Lila and her grandmother's place.
