Samantha's POV
My eyes fell on Alaric first as he stood by the car. A frown settled on his face the moment he saw the coat in my hands, but I didn't give a single care about what was going on in his mind. It didn't smell like Kennedy because I noticed Kennedy had masked his scent and used perfume on the coat, too. So Alaric couldn't know who it was from.
I looked away from him to see Adrian and Adams together. Adrian looked quite sad. He really wanted to come with me. We were never apart, and this was the first time. I missed him already; I missed him so much that I almost cried for leaving him. He left Adams and ran into my arms while I hugged him tightly, dropping several kisses on his face.
I finally broke the hug from Adrian, held his hand, and walked him back to Adams,
