Dylan and his mates were in the living room drinking wine, and passing the time. They don't sleep even if they do, it will always be short. Dylan was discussing the issue they discussed at The Pentagon.
"That terrible beast killed my daughter." Philip, one of Dylan's long time friends said bitterly.
"It really caused havoc to our clan. And it almost killed me." Valor, the man they swore to protect, cried out.
"Maybe it is looking for you." Dylan said.
"Why me?" Valor asked.
"You are the only remaining out of the ones that was infected back then."
"Do you think the Mega Clan did this?" Dylan asked.
"We helped them erase the Snow-white Clan, I don't think they would dare want to erase us too"
You think?"
Everyone in the room kept quiet, trying to reason the matter on ground. Dylan sat uprightly watching, and feeling the intensity flowing freely in the room. Valor was a little bit scared, because if the beast emerges, it will be after him. Few seconds after the silence took over the room, they heard a noise which looked like the one they had heard eight years ago. Fear gripped them, and their ears are now more frightened than their eyes. They have only seen how big it is, but not how it looks.
"What are we going to do?" Valor asked, looking more fearful than the rest.
"We can't go out now." Dylan said.
"He didn't get me by seeing me, he got me by picking up my scent." Valor exclaimed.
"We are in our cabal. He won't come here." Philip assured, but with Valor, unrest holds him tight like a folder.
Karen barged in through the door. "I heard the scream. What was that?" One of her subordinates asked, looking petrified.
"The-- Arrgh--" Karen slapped the nearest table.
Cassy left her bedroom when she heard her mother's voice. She walked faster than usual. "Mom." Karen couldn't hear her because she called out silently.
Karen was hell bent on making sure she was angry at herself. "I caused all this." She said to herself, slapping the table continuously.
Karen looked up to meet her daughter's eyes, and she wallowed in hurtful tears. Cassy stared at her mother. She was confused about what was happening, she had heard a scream which seemed to shake the ground, but that's all - why is my mother crying? She thought.
She went over to her Mom, and patted her lower back. "Everything will be okay, Mom." Her sweet voice finds a way into Karen's shattered mind, and she gradually stops crying. Cassy continued to tap her back, making sure she repeated that same word over and over again. "Everything will be okay."
Angelo heard the roar, he wasn't sure what that was, but it sounded like trouble. "Angy!" His stepmother called out to him.
"Not again." He begged, then answered the call. "I'm coming!"
"Help with the mop outside, I forgot it."
"Okay"
He went outside, and met with his enemies, Zed and his friends.
"Didn't you hear the sound?" Zed asked when he sighted Angelo.
Angelo knew trouble would knock on his door today, but he was fully ready to tackle anyone they brought. Not knowing where the full outburst of energy came from, still, he was thankful for this. Zed touched his head, but he slapped it before he could lay his hands on his head. Zed laughed, and looked back at his friends.
"This tortoise sure has some guts now. Jarek won't be here to save you."
"Please, leave me alone." Angelo begged.
Sasha can hear their little conversation from her house. She has an attentive listening ear. "Why this night." She whispered, and continued reading the book in her hands.
"I should leave you?" Zed asked.
"Yes please"
Zed turned around to leave, and immediately returned, giving Angelo a powerful blow that landed him on the floor. "You are begging me? You will always be treated like this unless you shift! Shift Tortoise! Shift!" Zed said.
Angelo was bleeding, The adults dared not to come out because of the scream of the beast. They had recognised that roar, and they were very fearful of it. Zed's parents had warned him about not going out at night, but he was a rebellious child, and wickedness wasn't far from him.
Angelo stood up, and dust his clothes. He took the mopstick his stepmother asked him to bring, but Zed thought he wanted to use it as a weapon to attack him, so he grabbed the stick from Angelo's hand, and s*****d it on his head. Angelo cried out in pain. Sasha came out of her house without her parent's consent.
"What are you doing, Zed." Sasha asked.
"Stay away from this, Sasha."
"I won't unless you stay away from him"
Sasha stayed in front of Angelo, widening her arms. Zed's friends held onto her shirt, and threw her on the floor. She rolled off, and Angelo ran to her. "Are you injured?" He hadn't gotten a response when he saw blood coming out from her elbow and knee.
Anger took the best part of Angelo. He charged towards Zed, and his friends. He slapped the first person he got hold of, he slapped him hard on his face, took the second one by his hand, and blew him continuously. Before he could attack Zed, Zed smashed the mopstick on Angelo's head, and he went down to the ground. He tried to stand up, but he felt really dizzy. He saw Sasha still on the floor, he summoned what had been inside of him for a very long time. Few seconds passed, and he was already in his wolf form.
Zed and his friends stood in awe. "So white." Zed thought, but that is the least of their problems. They need to get away before Angelo tears them in pieces. Sasha watched Angelo silently as he snarled angrily at Zed. "A white wolf." She whispered.
"Angelo" Sasha whispered, and Angelo looked back at Sasha.
Zed and his friends got the chance to run away, they would be penalized if they had shifted, and fought. So, their best option was to run. Angelo watched Sasha. Now, he could hear her heart beating slowly, and her mind deeply focussed on him. "You did it Angelo, you did it." He congratulated himself. He turned back into a human, and fainted.
