1492 Words
Dylan "Dude, you look f*****g stress." My all time best friend entered my office with an exciting step as he settled himself down in my sofa. "Work." That one word had me sprouting gray hair as it is. "Well no wonder you are behind, your secretary is not at her disk." If only that was the case but I still do not have a secretary. So everything I have to do on my own. Macy however helps me with little things such as getting my coffee and making copies but that is as far as she does. "I have no secretary." I leaned back against my chair and crossed my arms. "Still, what happened to that last chick, Cleaha was it. She was a beauty." Asher whistled. "She was one of the worse secretary ever." My brows furrowed at the thought of her spilling coffee and misplacing documents. "A secretary," Asher scratched his chin, "I have a friend who would love to work for you, you have met her once, Lara." "You mean that drop dead gorgeous Lara with legs that go on for miles?" "That's the one." She does sound tempting but as I recall I had slept with her the first time I had seen her and I can't say it won't happened again if she does works for me making me break my very own rule of no f*****g my employee. "I decline on that offer." "What really, why. She could do more than just type." "That might be true but I have already someone in mind." "Oh," He raised his brows at me, "Who?" "Well I have been trying to contact her for the past three days and it always goes to voice mail. Does she even answer her god damn phone." I hadn't realized my voice was an octave higher as I slammed my fist on my desk. "Whoa, I have never seen you so work up over a measly secretary. Where did you find this girl?" "She was previously the secretary of Percy in finance who had recommended her." "Well have you tried calling Percy? Tell him to send her up." "You don't think I did that. Percy states she hasn't been to work for the past few days." "Well I know what will take you off your mine, let's get drunk and laid. And dude from the looks of it I take it you haven't been gotten any lately." I was hesitant. I didn't have time to get drunk, hell I don't even think I had time to use the bathroom let alone sleep. "Fine." I finally agreed, maybe just a few shots won't hurt. "That's my man." Asher stood up as well as I and we both headed to one of the bar's we had occasionally hit. ***** The bar was crowded already full of drunken men. Pulling up a stool we had ordered are usual drinks, whiskey. While Asher and I had checked out the people who were chatting among themselves. I admit there are a few hot girls lingering around here, some even I had my eye on. "Dude where are you going?" Asher asked me once I got up from my stool. "You know I don't just drink right." "Use a condom bro don't wan't any accidents and pregnant traps." In the past I didn't used a condom once and some woman was claiming that she was carrying my unborn child of which I had denied. It resulted a lot of law suit and the b***h was extorting me for money. I had learn my lesson so not once have I not used a condom. Turning around I had bumped into an old man who was wasted from head to toe. "What the hell man?" He slurred as I was now covered in his drink. "You f*****g spilt my drink." "Look it's not my fault you are drunk off your ass unable to walk on your own two feet." I growled at the man before me. Asher hurried to my side because one I do not like being accuse of something I did not do. "You owe me a f*****g drink." He poked his old crusted fingers at me. I was tempted to snap that finger off, of him, "Dylan, calm down man." Asher held me back. "No!" I yelled at Asher before turning my attention to the man before me, "You should just leave right now before I make you, go home and take a shower." I was literally biting my tongue at the moment. I didn't want to cause a scene to could land me in the papers. Who knows how the paparazzi will spin this story and probably making me the bad guy. "Are you saying I stink?" Stink is an understatement as I scanned his body from head to toe, he just had this stench that seemed to cling to him. Before I knew what I was thinking the old man staggeringly swung at me. Luckily I had seen that and was able to dodge him. Asher had grabbed the man before he had stumble further hitting himself on the bar counter. I watch the old man swing at nothing but air, "Don't hide from me, where'd you go , you coward." This is pathetic, he is pathetic. "Excuse me is everything okay." The bartender interrupted. "Yes, send this man home. I think he had enough for one day." The bartender Looked at the man. "Ah Theodore." "You know him?" Asher continue to hold the man up. "Yes he comes here every Tuesday and Friday drinking. " The bartender quickly glance at the old man, "Theodore, come have a seat and I'll have someone pick you up." "No, I want another drink." The man named Theodore wobbled. "I think you had enough." Asher placed him on a stool. "Just give him water." I sighed. Turning around the lady that I had my eyes set on was no longer there. "Just great, just f*****g great." I mumbled only to glared at Theodore before my eyes. "Here Theodore." The bartender handed him a bottle of water to where he sloppily drank before spitting it out. "Give me another shot." Theodore hick up. "I think you have had enough." I watch Theodore angrily standing up, "Fine, if you won't give me a shot I'll just seek else where." "Wait for someone to pick you up or I'll call a cab for you in the mean time could you at least pay for your drinks." Theodore scuffed before handing the bartender a credit card. I don't know why Asher and I continue to sit by his side, probably just watching to make sure he doesn't pick a fight who doesn't care about hitting an old man. As for me, it is not in my nature to hit someone who can barely defend themselves. "Theodore do you have another card, your card was declined." "What! What the hell do you mean?" "I mean it's no good." "No, there is money in there, swipe it again." "Theodore I had already tried many times." The bartender was now getting frustrated. "If you can't pay I will have to call the police." "That's not necessary, I'll cover the cost." I gave him my credit care. Don't know what in the right mind that I would pay his tab but for some odd reason I couldn't help but feel sorry for the man. "Dude, you are actually going to pay for his bill." Asher laughed. "Yea, why got a problem with that." I took a sip of beer that I had ordered earlier. "No, it's just that in the past few years I have never seen you use your money on other people. Oh dear lord don't tell me Dylan Saunders is starting to grow a consciences." He mocked. A few minutes later, the bartender handed me my card back. "I just called someone to come pick him up, she should be here any minute." "Does this always happened?" The bartender nodded his head, don't worry he always get's home safe. "I don't want to go home." Theodore cried like a little boy throwing tantrum. "Theodore your ride should be hear any minute so go wait outside." "Fine." Struggling to stand on his two feet he stumbled his way out. "I'll go wait with him to make sure nothing bad happens to him." Asher volunteered to babysit the man. Because hell I wasn't going to do it. Not while I can enjoy my drink. With one nod Asher helped the man outside. "So, are you just here to drink." The bartender turned to me. "That's what it seems." The woman here don't catch my attention and the one that I had wanted was long gone already. "Another beer." Asher once again appeared by my side. "His ride came to pick him up?" "Yup." He said popping the P. "She came by cab." "She?" "Yes, his daughter."
