Lily awoke to the soft glow of morning light streaming through the curtains, casting a warm, golden hue across the room. Her head rested gently on the pillow, her body cocooned in the comforting sheets. Her pulse quickened as her gaze shifted toward Peter Blackwell, the youngest and most striking billionaire, still asleep beside her.
His chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, his sculpted body completely at ease in slumber. The harsh angles of his jawline softened in the daylight, while his dark hair lay messily across the pillow. Lily watched him for a few moments longer, her mind drifting back to the night before—how his touch had set her senses ablaze, and how his kisses had ignited a raw, undeniable passion. It had been the best night of his life, and maybe hers, too.
Yet now, as she lay there observing him, something shifted within her, she had remembered Nicole telling her she'd wait at the door in the morning to replace her. Silently, she began to slip out of bed, cautious not to disturb him. The cool morning air brushed against her bare skin as she moved, her heart thudding in her chest. Bending down, she carefully gathered her clothes from the floor, each movement calculated, her eyes flickering toward him with every faint sound of fabric.
Blackwell slept on, his breathing deep and even, still lost in the satisfaction of the night. She hesitated, her gaze lingering on him just a moment longer, wondering what thoughts drifted through his mind in his serene dreams. Part of her longed to stay, but another part urged her to leave before he awoke and broke the fragile peace of the morning.
With her belongings in hand, she quietly opened the room, her steps light and quick, Nicole entered the room immediately. She was wearing the same dress Lily had on.
“What took you so long, b***h?” She whispered angrily, “do you know how long I had been out there waiting for you? You want him to find out you're the one he slept with? Now get out of sight.”
Lily was speechless. “What?” She managed to say, feeling used.
“Get inside the closet now.” Nicole ordered her. “You can't have him see us both.”
Lily nodded and walked inside the restroom, as she did that Nicole slip herself into the bed, being cautious not to wake him up, she covered herself with the bed sheet placing her head gently on the pillow while Lily peeps through the restroom door with sadness feeling her eyes, she couldn't imagine Peter not recognizing her after the beautiful night they had just spent together. She didn't want Nicole to take all of that from her but then again she remembered her place that she was only a maid with no class and Peter would want nothing to do with someone like her.
“Oh no! Look at what we've done.” Nicole's voice broke out the silence, it was loud and sharp. Immediately Peter opened his eyes as his gaze shifted towards Nicole. Then he stretched out his hands in the air toward the ceiling as he shook off the remnants of sleep.

The university campus buzzed with the usual morning energy, students scattered across the manicured lawns and winding pathways. Groups of friends lounged on benches, books in hand, while others rushed between classes, backpacks slung over their shoulders. The air was alive with laughter, chatter, and the occasional blaring of music from someone’s phone. Tall trees lined the walkways, casting long shadows under the bright California sun.
Lily weaved through the crowd, her steps quick yet uncertain, her pale face standing out against the vibrant energy of the campus. Her hair was slightly disheveled, and her eyes darted nervously as she scanned the throng of students. She had barely slept, her mind racing with thoughts of last night—Peter Blackwell, and everything that had happened between them. Her heart hadn’t stopped pounding since she left his side.
Finally, she spotted Ava Addams, her best friend, sitting on the stone steps outside the library, casually flipping through a textbook. Ava looked up just as Lily approached, her usual warm smile faltering the moment she saw the expression on Lily’s face.
"Whoa, Lily, you look like you’ve seen a ghost," Ava said, her voice filled with concern.
“And you're late again, Lee. You know we have a class in the next few seconds.”.
“Yeah I know.” She said, sighing tiredly.
“Who was it this time? Nicole or her evil mom?”
“It's nothing, just the usual morning routines.” She waved off the discussion, she couldn't let Ava find out we had just spent the night with Peter Blackwell. “Come on, we need to hurry up to class.”
The classroom hummed with a low murmur of conversation as students filed in, the scrape of chairs and the rustle of notebooks filling the air. Sunlight filtered through the large windows, casting golden streaks across the polished wooden desks. Some students chatted in groups, leaning over their desks, exchanging notes, while others sat quietly, scrolling through their phones or organizing their books.
The room had a mix of energy—some were clearly ready to engage, bright-eyed and alert, while others appeared groggy, likely still waking up from a late night of studying or socializing. A few students were huddled near the front, eager to secure the best seats, while others lingered toward the back, preferring to stay unnoticed.
“You wouldn't believe who's coming to take us today in our class?” One of the students behind Lily said Ava as she sat.
“Who's it?” Ava turned her back eagerly, anxiously waiting to hear from Adeline. Lily, who showed less concern, eavesdropped, wanting to know who that was.
“He's the richest bach….”
Just as she was about to spill the door creaked open again as the professor entered, it was Peter Blackwell. Suddenly there was silence everywhere, the light chatter faded into total silence. The students could almost go crazy at this unexpected visitor. Lily was more stunned.
“What the hell is he doing here?” She whispered to herself in shock.
“Gosh! I can't believe this. Is that really Peter Blackwell? Like The Blackwell?” Ava said in exclamation. She couldn't hide her joy.
Peter and Lily's eyes jammed as he walked in the class as Lily was sitting at the front.
“Oh no!” Lily squealed in her thoughts. “He recognizes me.”
Peter could not stop staring at her. Something about her seemed so familiar to him. He cleared his throat, drawing all eyes to him, and began to speak, his voice clear and steady. “Good morning everyone. So I've been invited here to teach you all about business, because why study business when you can actually learn from a real business owner.” He said, with his gaze shifting back to Lily at every second. He walks up to her.
“Oh no, please tell me he hasn't recognized me feom last night?” Her mind bombarded with thoughts.
