LORENZO’S P.O.V.
I kept Leo’s hand in mine and kept him very close to me. There was a possibility that whoever had attacked Isabella had laid traps around and I didn’t want Leo accidentally stepping into any of them. He led us around the house towards the wooded path behind it. I was a bit apprehensive about going into the woods but he was adamant that he knew where he was taking us so I relented and allowed him to lead.
“You need to give me a heads up before you take me trudging through mud, kid,” Matteo whined. “These shoes are expensive and now I’m going to get them ruined.”
