229 Words
Thorne's eyes widened as his grandmother revealed the dark truth. The family's legacy was one of witchcraft and deceit, a centuries-old curse that had haunted Ravenswood. "Why?" Thorne asked, his voice shaking with anger and fear. "Why did our family get involved in this?" His grandmother's eyes seemed to cloud over, lost in the past. "It was a mistake, Thorne. A terrible mistake. We thought we could control it, but it consumed us." Thorne's mind reeled as he thought of all the strange occurrences in Ravenswood, the unexplained events and mysterious disappearances. It all made sense now. The curse was real, and his family was at its center. "But there's more," his grandmother said, her voice barely above a whisper. "The stranger, the one who's been searching for something... they're connected to the curse too." Thorne's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?" His grandmother's eyes locked onto his, filled with a warning. "They're the key to breaking the curse, Thorne. But they're also the key to unleashing its full power." Thorne's world was turned upside down. He had to make a choice, to save Ravenswood or to succumb to the curse's darkness My family was the one who cast the curse, Thorne. And I'm the last living heir, burdened with guilt and shame forevermore, seeking redemption and forgiveness. Let me know if you'd like me to continue!
