Chapter 9

Alex drove home and there is an awkward Silent between them since they left the scene. The police already took away those criminals but Charlotte had been quiet, he drove into the compound and Charlotte sniffled

"Is she still crying?" Alex thought as she gets down slowly, she made sure the jacket he gave to her covered her perfectly

Alex also gets down and watched her limping, he scoffed and ruffled his hair finding it annoying

Charlotte limped slowly as her leg hurt badly, she can't believe she almost got r***d, what if that guy find his way? What if Alex didn't get there in time? Tears dropped from her eyes again

Suddenly, Alex carried her In surprised into his arm

" what?" Her eyes widened at the sudden acts, she looked at him but he only kept a straight face and carry her into the house

Bobby who is already worried wondering what happened, stood up on seeing them entered and she knew something is wrong when she saw Charlotte in Alex's arm

"Alex" she called as they entered

"what happened to her?" She asked worrily

" She got kidnapped" he said taking her to her room and Bobby's eyes widened

" What?" She asked in shocked

" how did that happened? Is she okay?" She asked and he dropped her on the bed

Charlotte winced in pain as he dropped her on bed

" OMG! Charlotte" Bobby sat down beside her and Charlotte smiles faintly while Alex walked out of the room looking like a mess

Bobby help Charlotte cleaned up and help her apply bam to her leg, she laid down on the bed, the door opened and Bobby entered with a tray of food

" Here, Charlotte I cooked a delicious meal" she said and placed the tray beside her and she sat up

" Bobby, I don't have appetite" she said weakly and Bobby sighed and held her hands

" you have to eat so you get well, I can see that you're weak" she said and Charlotte smiles and nods

" Thanks you" she said and Bobby hugged her

Alex sat down in his room and smoke filled the room as he smoked greatly staring into space

He can't understand what's going on with him

He isn't supposed to feels this way, why does his heart skipped when she cried?

The door opened and Bobby was surprised when she saw the smoke,

Goodness! "Alex" she called and he put the cigarette down

" what is wrong?" She asked already knew that he is angry, whenever he's angry he smoked

" Nothing" he muttered and Bobby scoffed

" Are you seriously in love?" She asked smirking and Alex huffed

" I'm not in the mood for your jokes" he said and Bobby nods

" She looked so innocent" she muttered and Alex rolled his eyes

He only save her because he doesn't want the contract terminated

" Father called today" she said and his contention changed which Bobby also noticed but she continues talking

" He said he want you to come see him" she said and Alex fist his hand trying to suppress his anger

" Shouldn't you just see him" she said and Alex bang his hand on the bed " Bobby, stopped" he yelled making her flinched

" I'm sorry" she said and walked out

Charlotte laid down after eating trying to get some sleep but Mr sleep won't visit her

She stay still staring at the ceiling and all what happens just like a movie flashed into her head

How she struggled with that guy, how he slapped her hardly and when Alex came in, the way he looked at her, for the first time he saw the caring Alex and when he carried her in his arm, Geez! She most avoid any attached feelings

Finally, Mr sleep came and took her away but wasn't long that she wake up because she is thirsty

She walked downstairs and entered the kitchen turning on the light, she poured herself water and turned about to go but the glass cup fell from her hand scattering to the ground scared fully as she saw Alex

Gosh! He scared her,Alex was surprised how scared she is, why is she not sleeping? He thought but does he care, of course he shouldn't, he poured himself water and drank

Charlotte hissed and bent to pack the scattered glasses but end up getting cut as it pierced into her hand and bleed

" ouch!" She winced and Alex huffed

" Are you this clumsy?" He said rudely and Charlotte rolled her eyes in pain, s**t! It hurt

" Stay still" Alex said and what Charlotte did surprised him as she put her finger into her mouth and licked it

" What are you doing?" Alex asked and Charlotte shrugged

" stopping the blood" she said and Alex walked closer to her staring at her and Charlotte wondered " what happened?"

" Why the hell is she talking like her again and acts like her?" He thought staring into her eyes

" Alex, what happened?" She asked and he jolted and turned back " just go back to sleep" he muttered and walked away

Charlotte stood still not understanding what happened to him?

NEXT MORNING

Charlotte wake up due to the rang of her phone and she picked up

" hello, Charl, are you okay?" Blake voice came in worrily and Charlotte nods

" Yeah, you don't have to be worried, I'm okay" she said and Blake heaved down

"I called you after hearing the news, I'm very shocked" she said and Charlotte smiles

" I'm fine now" she said

" Okay then take care" Blake said and hang up

Charlotte bath and put on something good then walked downstairs, to see Bobby already dishing out food

" Charlotte, good morning" she greeted and Charlotte smiles

" yeah, what's the aroma ?" She asked and Bobby chuckled " something good" she said

And footsteps approached, they knew it is Alex

Alex got down and sat down ready to eat

" you're not going to work?" Bobby asked and he nods

" I already know you won't" she said with a smirked and they set up to eat

Alex make sure not to make eyes contact with Charlotte, it makes him feels strange

Suddenly, the door bell rang, Bobby and Alex looked at each other

" Where they expecting anyone?"

Bobby stood up to get it, she opened the door and her eyes widened

" grandmother" she said in shocked

(Mr Marvin's mansion)

* LIBRARY*

Mr Marvin sat down working on the laptop, he had been on it since morning because the project is damn important to him

He stood up to get a files but suddenly feels dizzy, he held into the table trying to fight the dizziness but he fail as he collapse to the floor

Harley walked to her father's library and knock slightly holding a mug of coffee, she is sure he needed it, he has been working non stop since morning

She knocked again but no response" what's wrong?" She thought and she opened the door quietly hoping he won't shout at her

She entered and the mug fell from her hand as she saw her father on the ground

" father" she rushed to him tapping him fearfully

" Somebody help, mother" she called
