The First Queen Returns

MaryBeth and Miriam stood looking at each other they were identical to each other. Miriam hadn't aged a bit. The only difference was Marybeth's short hair. She was sick of them pulling it all the time so now it short was enough that nobody can grab it and take a hold of it. "What do you want?" MaryBeth asked trying to seem beaten and meager. She looked down to the floor. "I want to say I am sorry. I am sorry for ever letting this happen to you, to us, to my family." Her last words faded as she said them, like they were a long distance away. "I only wanted to be here for you forever, I wanted to stay young forever. I was so afraid of being old and forgotten. He took advantage of me and tricked me." MaryBeth didn't look away from the floor while Miriam talked. Rather than feel bad for her she was angry. Looking at Miriam dead in the eyes "So you ruined MY LIFE, you stole MY CHILD, you hurt MY MATE all for yourself? All so you could "be young forever"? Is that what you are telling me?" MaryBeth was more than angry. "What kind of mother would do such a thing?" "I am sorry, I didn't know that would happen?" She shaking with regret. "Well, you can take your "I AM SORRY" and shove it up your ass! Because it's going to go further there than here." She was about to lose control. "I will never forgive you, I will never let you back in my life. As far as I am concerned you died the day you made the deal with that devil. Now get the f**k out of here before I kill you myself. I will never forgive you because you are unforgivable." MaryBeth turned her back on her mother, she could've escaped but she thought it was better if she didn't, not quiet yet anyway. "Don't you ever come back here Miriam, ever." MaryBeth heard her sobbing and her door shut. She really didn't give a s**t about her, or what she thought. What did she really expect she would say? She was so pissed off now her blood was boiling. All the terrible things they have done to her here, this was by far the worst one. Landing in the Kingdom Nakita landed first and she ready for anything. Katrina on the inside was super impressed with her skills and her cool staph that seemed to be magic or something. Katrina couldn't wait to ask her about it. She landed at the edge of a small pool of water with tall trees surrounding it and a cliff that reached up into the clouds not too far away. She was surprised she wasn't wet after coming through the portal. It was quiet, almost too quiet. She stepped to the side and let Josh join her. He landed on his feet ready for anything too. Nakita looked at him sideways and gave a smile that was only for him and his shifted from steel blue to yellow and he smiled back making her heart skip a beat. Everyone followed suit and soon they were all making their way into the woods, feeling like it was going to give them cover anyway. Alpha Geist didn't feel like they were in a different place but they were. There were still trees and birds, he wondered what this really was. Was it a different planet? Maybe a hidden slice of space that nobody can see. Sabrina was looking around like a scared girl, she knew this place and she knew what they were capable of. Nakita led them toward the cliff, nobody really talking as they walked. They didn't want to make too much noise. Everyone was in stelth mode. The cliff was massive and you couldn't see the top of it and looking down either way you couldn't see the end of it. Nakita turned right and walked along the wall. There were fallen rocks and dead trees that they had climb over, everyone made quick work of it. They walked for about an hour and then Nakita stopped and turned toward the cliff. She touched her staff to a small rock that once noticed it was out of place. It was a slightly different color that the ones around it and it's shape was just off. As her staph touched the rock it opened a door. It was dark inside and the air was moist like a cave. Nakita held her staph up and it shined a guiding light for all of them to follow. When the last person entered the door slid shut making everyone look back and then look at each other. Giving each other looks and shrugging shoulders 'I guess the only way to go is forward.' Josh said to Mark via mindlind. Under their feet the rock slab turned into steps and the walls widened as they walked. Nakita was unafraid feeling like this exactly where she was meant to be. Her eyes were able to see in the dark seeing the stairway begin to ascend she stopped. "This is it. This stairway comes out in the royal garden. Once every thousand years a Lycan is born that can use this pathway. This our element of surprise. Choose your weapon that hangs on the wall. There will be death today and I refuse to lose any part of my family." She took a deep breath. "Those that oppose our enterance are infected with the evil. This spirit MUST have a host to live on. When you kill the host turn away and do not look back. There could be a few or there could be hundreds. You are my warrior clan and we will fight side by side. We are fighting for freedom and liberty as we know it." She turned and lead the way up the stairs. It was 2 days before the moon eclipse. As they ascended the stairs it got brighter and one could see the weapons on the wall. Josh picked up the sword. It was perfectly balanced with a gold handle and as he picked it up he saw that it was engraved with some strange markings. Sabrina picked up the bow and arrow, she had always been a pretty shot. This set also doubled as a club type weapon for closer contact. She also took several small knives. Alpha Geist picked up the ax, it was heavy and perfect for him. The leather grips molded to his hands almost instantly. He also took several smaller knives. Edward took a double sword package, he strapped them onto his back and it was like they were part of his body. He felt a rush of energy from them and his wolf was finally able to completely break through to him. He was excited because he knew MaryBeth was closer than she had been for years. It was hard for Edward to focus on the task at hand when all he wanted was to find her. Rhonda picked up the bull whip, she had never used one before but she was drawn to it. As she wrapped her fingers around the end she was flooded with knowledge and knew instantly how deadly this weapon was. Mark chose the same sword that Josh took and he added some smaller throwing knives. They all suited up looking like they stepped back in time with their ancient weapons. They were making sure everything fit when Nakita tapped her staph on the ground making the ground shake. A large door opened. The sky was grey and the smell of impeding rain danced on the breeze. The air seemed to welcome them in one by one swirling around them as they entered the sacred garden. The tree of life stood before them as if with wide open arms. Nakita thought it was interesting that there were not guards present. Then she heard a twig snap to her left. All eyes shifted to the edge of the woods. Ready for anything. MaryBeth She sat straight up from lying down on her bed. He was so close. His presence began to pulse through her body even stronger than earlier. It was time to make her move. She stood in front of her door and pulled out a wire from her bed. She stuck it in the lock and started messing around hoping she'd have some luck. She could feel it catching something. She took a deep breath and slowed herself down. She tried a few more times and then she heard the keys. "s**t" She whispered desperately giving it another try. At the last moment she pulled out the wire and stood up. The lock clicked open, she waited for the perfect moment. She yanked the door open and took the guard by surprise. She was much smaller than him but she had her mate close. Her strength was exponentially improved the closer he got. She pulled his arm out brining her elbow down on at the same time breaking his humerus with her elbow. He fell to the ground and she pulled him in the room careful not to let the door lock on her. He groaned and started to get up, she couldn't help it but kick him in the face. All the torture he put her through. A tooth went flying and he fell back to the floor. She yanked his keys and slipped out the door. She knew the way and she knew it like the back of her hand. She slowly ran along when out of the corner of her eye she saw another prisoner. Through a small window in the door. She made a mental note to destroy this area once all the dust settled. MaryBeth saw daylight streaming through a window ahead. It had been a long time since the sun touched her face. She was almost giddy with anticipation as she made her way toward it. She was almost there and had almost forgotten what she was doing because of it, when she heard the guard start screaming and pulling on the door. MaryBeth was wearing her normal white tshirt and blue baggie pants almost nurses pants. Her shoes were flimsy at best loafer type. She crouched down as she approached the window. She saw a grey cloudy sky and felt like rain was coming. At first her fingers searched the frame for the latch and there wasn't any. She heard foot steps running down the hall with the jiggle of keys in sequence. She looked out the window and knew what her only choice was.
