Her name was Kathryn and she was indeed the princess of the realm. Harold was accepted into the royal family with open arms and it wasn't long before she was expecting their first child.
Excitement brewed as she grew and grew. It was the middle of the night on the blood full moon she was startled awake by a pain in her side. She reached for Harold who was instantly awake. Something inside her told her something was off.
"Call for the doctor. " She said through gritted teeth.
He was up and out of bed running for the door. "Don't leave her." It was the same voice that said 'mate' when they met. He ignored it and ran down the hallway screaming for the doctor, anyone who could come help. He had delivered lots of calves and pigs in his days as a farmer, but that was a life time ago.
