Nicole watched as the ambulance took Julia away. She was going to be okay, but she left Nicole with so many questions.
She felt Josh come up behind her and hug her. She laced her fingers with his “Who was that?”
“Nobody.” Josh tried to push it away.
“She was somebody who could get used to get to you. Please don’t hide your past from me.” She kept looking forward.
Josh sighed and Trenton said ‘Your chickens have come home to roost. I hope she loves us enough to get through it.’ Then he shut the connection off leaving Josh to deal with this all on his own.
