CHAPTER 5- HERO'S POV

There was a skip to my steps when i walked to my classes. I guess it was noticed by Chris as nothing can be missed by that big guy, but luckily he didn't brought it up. We attented our business classes together which was our major subject. In any case which is highly unlikely , if i don't make it to pro i want to have a backup for that. That's why i am here sitting in business class.

For lunch, me , Chris and other teammates, all got together in the cafeteria because coach said we need to spend as much as time we can together. So here we are having lunch together as our schedules don't match with each other and we have so many different classes. We were talking about our assignments when Noah interrupted and took over the conversation ,showing off how his parents were having a lovely vacation at their private beach. We all know that this guy comes from old money but why show it off , what's the whole point . Hence i was ignoring him as i found the point so senseless and minded my own damn business . When i started to get up after finishing my lunch, i suddenly felt a prickly sensation at the back of my neck. When i slowly turned around, there she stood in all her almighty glory 'my angel' at the entrance of cafeteria with her two friends, i guess, one was Ari who i know is from my business class and has also become my friend, looks like we have a mutual friend that does make things little easy for me to approach her friend and fow which i am super happy about. Another girl was gorgeous too but i only had my eyes on one particular girl who had a jersey and a tight skinny jeans which matched her hairs. Her hairs were again tied in a ponytail which kinda seems to be her style. I wanna run my fingers through that , i bet they would feel as silky as they look. The more i look at her the more i want her. She has such a vibrant vibe which adds to her radiant persona . She looks so pure , so innocent, looking like an angel. I want to know her better and for that i need to up my game. I was silently begging her to look my way so i can look directly into her eyes. When she finally looked my way i flashed her my most charming smile. She ignored me like i wasn't even there and walked away with her friends and took a seat in the far corner of the cafeteria. I found it amusing, cuz most girls would have thrown themselves at me in an instant and she didn't even paid me attention which was surprisingly refreshing. Oh i am loving this chase already. Not one to back down , i stood up silently but the silent exit i was hoping for didn't go as i planned. All the guys looked my way quizzically while Noah frowned my way maybe he had followed my line of sight.

"Excuse me, I'll be right back, you guys carry on" with that I started walking in her direction.

When i neared her table she didn't knew i was there but Ari rose one eyebrow in questioning. I just smiled her way ," hey Ari how is it going?, you were here so i thought to stop by and say hello" i winked her way sending a message to introduce her friend to me which i hoped she'd get . " Hey, its going good .Lemme introduce my friends to you this is Nikki and this is Aurora they both are med students but Aurora is in team with me. Girls this is Hero we have same class , he plays basketball too." Nikki waved my way and i waved back while Aurora just nodded in acceptance, okay i can work with that. "I have a thing to say" i said looking directly at Aurora. "Yes?" She finally replied. Her voice was silky smooth too , how come all the things about her seems perfect . I could just hear her speak all day long. Not to look like a fool gawking at her, i said the first thing that came to my mind without even giving a second thought."When you are taking the three pointer shots ,try to rotate your wrist while releasing the ball it gives the spin to the ball which will improve your scoring chance". Well here goes my perfect introduction. I want to smack myself upside down on my head for revealing the fact that i was watching her play the other day. When they say about ruining the moment, they can give my example about how i ruined it majorly. People can also idolise me for how to put their own feet in their own damn mouth. She looked perplexed and opened her mouth to say something maybe telling me f**k off, when she finally spoke, i literally held my breath but she simply said-"excuse me?". Not to make situation more awkward, i made eye contact with everyone and said-"have a good day". With a wink i left and quickly returned to my table and sat with the guys. For the rest of the meal i kept my eyes down. What is it about her that makes me nervous when i never have been before. Just as it was disconcerning, it gave me a thrill that i was already liking and I also know i have to keep my cool around her. When i finally glanced up Noah was scowling my way , i don't know what is wrong with that guy but i ignored him and when i looked around she was gone. But i realised then, that i was grinning from ear to ear. Oh yes, this is some thrill alright.
