48 I pulled on my Kevlar vest and slipped my Ruger and Rossi into their respective holsters. The two of us climbed onto Shea’s bike and took off down the road. Byrd followed in his car. My mind marinated over how to convince Yuri to let Ciara go. I hoped telling him that the Jaguars had murdered Scarlett would give him someone else to direct his anger at.
