While he drove off in his car, I escorted Vanessa and her dog into the house through the side door. Diana came bounding toward me. After showering me with kisses, she turned her attention to Jasmine, sniffing warily. The Yorkie yapped and growled at the much larger puppy. Diana replied with a couple of playful barks that seemed to say, “Nice to meet you! Let’s play.”
