"Jeff did," Cora answered, giving me a death glare. "He told me how you used to bully every guy who even remotely tried to come anywhere near me. And he also told me how you screwed up our date and broke his nose,"
"I didn't break his nose!" I protested, even though I think I did.
"That's not the point and you know that," she snapped, startling me. "Why did you do that?"
Oh f**k. How do I explain that I didn't want her to be with anyone else, especially not Jeff? How do I explain that I hated it and still hate it if she bestowed her attention on anyone else but me?
