My stomach growled, but I knew the story wasn’t over yet. Phoenix heard it, though, and turned his silver wolf eyes on me.
::My mate is hungry:: Phoenix mindlinked, as if Isabella and Isaac didn’t hear it, too. I then heard his stomach growl, too. I laughed, but wanted to hear the rest of the story! I was descended from Mary which meant I could find out about the necklace, my family… emotion washed over me. Phoenix put his wolf’s head on mine.
