Chapter 6 TatjanaAnton was right. Undoubtedly, something unusual is going on at the castle: a meeting of vampires. We come across some of them in the corridors, looking at us with deep curiosity. Fortunately, they are obviously too nervous to linger on the fact that we are going in the opposite direction to theirs. I kept my head down, preventing anyone from seeing my face. As soon as we cross the main gate of the castle, I pause. I need a little time to realize where I am. I'm finally outside, free of my invisible chains. Suddenly the air seems purer, less polluted by the smell of dead bodies that floats through the building despite its cleanliness.
