Chapter 1 - Lora's POV "I was checking to make sure my guards were not watching me, then I slipped out through the door and I met my mum in the corridor," I said to myself. "Mum, where are you headed?" she asked. "Oh mum, I am going to the kitchen to get some water," I replied. She turned her eyes away from me, and I sneaked out through the back door and ran past the guards. I thought to myself, "I mean, is it all the time I have to be surrounded with guards? Just then I ran into the forest. Wow, it's been a long time since I stepped out." As I ran, I thought, "I don't know what all this talk about mate. Is mate, even necessary, must everybody have a mate?" Just then, an arrow passed me, and I turned as I realized I was surrounded by assailants. I thought, "I have to either fight for my life or be killed. Mum and dad have taught me how to fight, so I'll just swing the sword and shoot the arrows just like these." I fought and killed many people. "And then I saw him, mate, my wolf told me mate…? The same one my parents are almost killing me for? How could I find him in the forest like this?" I was thinking of running back to the palace to tell my parents that I had found my mate, or I should hug him. I mean, I even forgot the fact that I was still in the midst of a battle, not until an arrow shot me, and it was too late. As I fell to the floor, Blood started gushing out of my body. I saw my mate fighting for me. He was trying so hard to protect me, looking so caring, and my heart went out to him the more. Suddenly, everything went black. When I woke up, I found myself in a room. "Where am I?" I asked. A man sat beside me, but I couldn't remember how I met him. My brain kept telling me "mate, mate," but I couldn't remember. "I am certainly sure this is my mate, and he is the only one I can trust for now," I said to myself, trying to remember things, but my head spun, and I fell back asleep. Prince Finn POV "The youngest of them all, Prince Finn, is supposed to be the next alpha," King said. "But first, he must prove himself worthy by capturing Princess Lora." "But, Your Majesty, how can we be sure he's qualified?" Prince Charm, Finn's elder brother, asked. "I mean, he's the youngest. How could he be the chosen one to the throne when we don't even know if he's fit for it?" "Your concerns are valid, Prince Charm," King replied. "That's why I've decided to make it a test. Anyone who brings me Princess Lora will be made the next alpha." "But, Your Majesty, that's not fair!" Prince Finn interrupted. "My team and I went to capture her, but we were attacked and she escaped. Right now, even her kingdom can't find her. She's missing. I think we should go on a search mission instead." "No, no, no," Prince Charm cut in. "We can't just give up like that. You know their park is powerful. We need to get the princess. She is the only source of their strength." "I agree with that," the brothers responded in unison. "We must find the princess." Prince Charm seethed with jealousy, thinking to himself, "How could my younger brother be the chosen one for the throne? Besides, he is not fit for it." A devilish smile spread across his face as he thought, "Let's see how he will go about this. I can't let him have the throne." Prince Charm POV In the morning, Prince Charm began his search for Princess Lora, determined to find her. "Where could she be hiding?" he muttered to himself as he walked through the woods with his guard. Just then, one of the soldiers, who was badly wounded, approached him. Prince Charm recognized the soldier as one of the men who had been injured in the battle with Prince Finn. "Please, help me," the soldier begged. "Who are you?" Prince Charm asked. "I am a soldier from the battle that just ended," the soldier replied, wincing in pain. "What can you offer me if I help you?" Prince Charm asked. The soldier's eyes locked onto Prince Charm's. "I know you're searching for Princess Lora. I can provide you with crucial information about Prince Finn's plans concerning her." Prince Charm's interest was piqued. He ordered his guards to pick up the soldier, and they sat down on a nearby rock. The soldier took a deep breath before speaking. "During the battle, Prince Finn killed all my comrades and left me for dead. I managed to escape, but I overheard him mention a secret location where he's hiding Princess Lora." Prince Charm's grip on his sword tightened as he listened intently, eager to know more about Prince Finn's plans and how to find Princess Lora. Prince Charm turned to his two soldiers. "Take me to the palace while I go to retrieve Princess Lora. I will not spare him," he muttered to himself, his eyes gleaming with determination. As they ventured into the woods, Prince Charm instructed his guards, "Let's hide here for a while and let the sleeping dog lie, while the lion stays awake, ready to strike." Under the cover of night, the soldiers observed a light in the distance. "Who could that be?" Prince Charm asked As they watched, Prince Finn emerged, heading towards a nearby tent. "That might be their hiding place," Prince Charm deduced, his mind racing with strategy. With a swift motion, Prince Charm and his troops barged in, seizing Princess Lora and Prince Finn. They were bound and dragged to the palace, thrown into the dungeon. Prince Charm POV The next morning, Prince Charm stormed into the king's quarters. "Father, your son, whom you believe and thinks fit to be king, is not worthy of your trust. He has betrayed you and means no good for this kingdom. He should be put to death. This demands justice and punishment for his betrayal." The king's expression turned grave. "Prince Charm, which of my sons is not worthy of my love and trust? Let him be brought before me immediately." Prince Charm ordered the guards, "Bring the two prisoners” Prince Finn, and Princess Lora were brought before the king, The king looks at them in shock. "My son, Finn, what has caused you to befall this?" he asked. But before Prince Finn could respond, Prince Charm cut in. "There is no mercy for a criminal, Your Majesty. A criminal does not speak among people." The king raised his hands, demanding silence in the palace. "Let my son speak," he ordered. Prince Finn POV Prince Finn felt a sense of relief and spoke up. "My king, I have done nothing. You are looking for the princess, but this is just a maid I saved from the woods." But Prince Charm would not let him finish. "Shut up, liar!" he said angrily. My king, this man is a witness." Prince Charm gestured to a soldier standing nearby. "He was one of the soldiers who was left for dead after the battle." The king turned to the soldier. "Speak up," he ordered. *Flash back* Princess Lora POV Lora, my dear, you know you need to get married," the queen said, her voice firm but laced with concern. "You're not getting any younger. You need to find your mate and come out of this shell." Just then, Finn knocked on the door, looking handsome and charming. "Your Majesty, Your Highness, the king requires to see you both," he announced, his voice confident and clear. The queen nodded, and Princess Lora followed her out of the room, Finn leading the way. In the grand throne room, the king addressed the gathering. "My dear family and esteemed guests, I have summoned you today to discuss a matter of great importance. "My daughter will be receiving her suitors today," the king announced. "I need you to go out into the kingdom and call all able-bodied, handsome men to present themselves." Prince Finn POV Finn, a spy sent by his father, brings a guard from his kingdom "Join the suitors' train," he whispered. "I have a plan." Under the cover of night, the ceremony began. Finn snuck around the balcony, making his way to Princess Lora's room. He overhears her parents speaking to her in hushed tones. Princess Lora POV "Princess, you're our only daughter," the king said. "We can't let anything befall you. You know the limit of your... condition is almost up. Please, my princess, you need to choose a suitor." "Yes, my princess," the queen added. "It's for your own safety and the kingdom's." "But, Father, what if none of them are my mate?" Princess Lora asked, her voice laced with concern. "I can't do this, please..." The king's voice was firm. "Do this for me, and for the kingdom's safety, my princess." Just as they were about to leave, Finn was still eavesdropping, trying to hear more. But the queen accidentally hit him, and he jerked back, startled. Chapter 2 Prince Finn POV "Sorry, Your Highness," Finn said quickly. "I came to give you information about the ceremony. I think we should get started." The people were murmuring, their whispers growing louder by the second. The king stood up, his voice booming across the room. "Let's go out there and meet everyone. We can't be late." The queen's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on me with suspicion. "Okay, my king," she said, her voice dripping with unease. I let out a sigh of relief, “pheeeew!” my heart was still racing from the close call. “What if I had been caught?” I wondered. Just then, a friendly maid Wesley approached me, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Caught doing what?" she teased. I laughed, trying to play it cool. "Standing here," I replied, trying to brush it off. The maid chuckled and playfully hit me on the arm. "You're just overthinking. Come on, you're part of the palace guards. Nothing like that can be thought of you." With that, she skipped off, leaving me to my thoughts. I couldn't help but think, Not again. I need to be more careful. I took a deep breath and followed the king and queen out into the crowd, trying to shake off the feeling of unease that lingered within me. I scanned the room, my eyes locking onto Desmond, my trusted guard, who was blending in seamlessly with the suitors. I gave him a subtle nod, the signal we had agreed upon. It was time to strike. My gaze shifted to the princess, who was growing increasingly restless. I kept a close eye on her, anticipating her move. And then, I saw it - she made a break for the back door, trying to slip away unnoticed. But she wasn't quick enough. I had planned an attack The other guards were already in the woods waiting for her just as she reached the woods" I watched with bated breath, my heart racing with excitement. The plan was unfolding perfectly. Flashback ends .. Prince Finn interrupted, “my king during the battle, Princess Lora escaped. In the chaos, the guards lost sight of their target and began attacking the maid who had followed the princess.” The king turned to Princess Lora's side and demanded, "Do you have any idea where the princess had gone?" Princess Lora fell to the ground, tears streaming down her face. "No, Your Majesty. I just came out to think over things and then... I don't know what happened." Prince Charm spoke up, "My king, we can't trust her. We should keep her in the dungeon." That night, Prince Finn snuck out to bring food and water to Princess Lora in the dungeon. Meanwhile, Prince Charm set out to attack the neighboring park, determined to prove to his father that he was worthy of the throne. In the dead of night, he yelled, "People of Magdona Park, who can battle with the prince of Laranta?" He boasted and taunted, seeking to draw out a challenger. When his armies were ready, they marched into the neighboring park, fighting and scattering the guards. Arrows flew, and people ran for cover. In the midst of the chaos, Prince Charm captured a maid from the palace and brought her back to his kingdom. He threw her into the dungeon and retired to his quarters. The next morning... Prince Charm dressed in his finest attire, admiring himself in the mirror. He flung his hair, striking a pose, and gazed at his reflection with a satisfied smile. "My father would be so proud of me," he said to himself. "He will see that I deserve the throne." With confidence, Prince Charm walked into the king's quarters, surrounded by his guards. He bowed low, saying, "Good morning, Your Majesty," with a charming smile. The king rose from his throne, pointing his staff in their direction. "Well done, my son. You may sit." Prince Charm took his position, looking pleased with himself. Just then, Prince Finn entered the palace, his presence unnoticed by Prince Charm, who was basking in the king's praise. "The king says, ‘Prince Charm, I am so proud of you, you deserve some appreciation so, I have a gift for you, my son,' he said with a warm smile. Prince Charm's eyes lit up as he accepted the elegantly wrapped box. He eagerly opened it, revealing a magnificent sword with the word 'Boldness' inscribed on the blade. He beamed with pride, feeling like the luckiest prince alive. Meanwhile, Prince Finn heads to the dungeon to give food to the princess. The maid, who was captured from the neighboring park, is now in the same cell as Princess Lora. She immediately recognizes the princess and exclaims, "This is our princess!" But Princess Lora can't remember her, having lost her memory. "Who is she?" Lora asks Finn. Finn turns to the maid and whispers, "Please don't let anyone know that you know the princess, or you both will be killed." The maid replies, "I don't have anything to do with my life, I'm just a common palace maid. How about we strike a deal?" "What do you want?" Finn asks. Don't worry don't fear that much "I don't need your money," the maid says. It's just simple "I want you to spend a night with me. I see you love the princess so much, but she doesn't deserve such love. I can't give her any respect, we are on the same page, she never showed me any form of respect so why do I do that now. "I'll give you till tomorrow night to think about it," The maid says. Finn returns to sit with Princess Lora and asks, "How are you feeling?" "My head is a bit poundy," Lora replies, looking up at him with confused eyes. "Why do I feel you are my mate?" Princess Lora asks, her eyes locked on Finn's. "You are my mate, Finn, I can feel it." Finn's expression remains guarded, his voice firm but gentle. "I'm just trying to help you, Princess. Don't mistake my kindness for something more." He pauses, his eyes darting towards the maid, who's watching them with an intensity that makes Finn's skin crawl. "We shouldn't be having this conversation. Not here, not now." Lora's face falls, confusion and hurt etched on her features. "But...but I feel it. I know it's true." Finn's silence is deafening, leaving Lora wondering if she's truly lost her mind. And then, the maid speaks up, her voice dripping with malice… You can leave prince Finn your Time's up, Finn leaves confused. Chapter 3 In the evening, Prince Charm approaches the maid in the dungeon. "Do you know her?" he demands. "Who, my prince?" the maid asks, cowering. "Don't play dumb! Your fellow prisoner!" Prince Charm shouts, his foot lashing out to kick her. "No, my prince! I have no idea about her!" the maid cries out in pain. Inwardly she has some devilish thoughts. Prince Charm signals to his guards. "Take her out and use the wipes. Maybe that will jog her memory." As the guards drag her away, the maid screams and groans. But even under duress, she continues to deny knowing Princess Lora. "I don't know her, I swear!" she begs. Prince Charm's eyes narrow. "We'll see about that," he growls, his mind racing with the implications. The maid was dragged out, her back bearing the scars of strokes and marks, her body trembling as she groaned and screamed. Prince Charm reappeared, his voice firm as he asked her again, "Do you know the woman in the dungeon?" The maid, soaked in tears and bloodstained, pleaded, "My prince, I was just an ordinary maid in the palace. I only had access to the palace once a month. My job was limited to the kitchen, between the pot and the spoon, and the four walls of my room. I had no idea about the people in the palace... My prince, I don't know her, please..." She sobbed uncontrollably. Prince Charm stormed out, frustration etched on his face. "What am I going to do now?" he muttered, anger simmering within him. Levy, one of his trusted guards, approached him. "What shall we do with the maid, my prince?" Prince Charm's anger boiled over. "Are you questioning me? Shouldn't you be focused on helping me secure the throne? Our plan has failed, and you're worried about a mere maid?" Levy apologized, "I'm sorry, my prince." Prince Charm's irritation grew. "Why do I need your apology? Why do I even have you as my assistant?" He hissed, "Mtcheeeeeew." With that, he stormed out of the room, leaving Levy behind. Prince Charm paced back and forth on the balcony, seething with anger as he contemplated his next move. His brother, Prince Finn, sauntered in, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Oh, look who's here," Prince Finn exclaimed, chuckling. "No peace for the wicked, huh?" Prince Charm's anger boiled over. "Shut up, you wicked son of the devil!" he snarled. Prince Finn merely laughed. "Hahahaha, your plan failed again, bro! Don't worry, You're my brother, I've got you. " With a final guffaw, he strolled out, leaving Prince Charm fuming. In a fit of rage, Prince Charm spun around and slammed his fist into the nearby flower vase, shattering it into a hundred pieces. "Ahaaaaaaa!" he bellowed. "I will not spare you, Finn! When I claim that throne, I'll make your life miserable, I promise you that!" Meanwhile, Prince Finn burst into his own room, whooping with excitement. "Whoo-oo! That was straight fire! I need to plan something, fast!" IN THE NIGHT - Prince Charm's POV "Go bring me the maid from the dungeon," Prince Charm said to his guards. "I want to have a word with her." The guard fetched the maid, who entered Prince Charm's chambers with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. "My prince, you asked to see me?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Prince Charm rose from his bed and approached her, his eyes locked on hers. "Yes, come in, dear." He guided her closer, his hand on the small of her back, and closed the door behind her. As they stood together, Prince Charm's breath whispered against her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "My beauty," he murmured, his voice low and husky. The maid's cheeks flushed, and she looked up at him with a hint of shyness. "My prince, what do you want from me?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. Prince Charm's gaze burned with intensity, but he smiled softly. "Oh, I think you know," he said, his voice dripping with gentle persuasion. "You're at my service, aren't you, my dear?" The maid's heart skipped a beat as she nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, my prince." Prince Charm's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, his gaze never leaving hers. He took a step closer, his movements deliberate and gentle. "I want to know more about you," he said, his voice low and soothing. "What brings you joy, what makes you smile?" The maid's blush deepened as she looked away, her lashes fluttering. "I...I don't know, my prince," she stammered. Prince Charm's chuckle was soft and reassuring. "Ah, but I think you do," he said, his fingers tracing the curve of her cheek. "I want to know everything about you, my beauty." As he spoke, he guided her closer, his movements slow and gentle. The maid's heart raced, her senses overwhelmed by the prince's proximity. She felt like she was drowning in his eyes, like she was melting into his touch. And yet, she couldn't help but feel a spark of curiosity. What did the prince want from her, really? Was it just a fleeting infatuation, or something more? The maid's thoughts were a jumble of confusion and excitement as Prince Charm's fingers traced the curve of her ear. She felt a shiver run down her spine, her skin tingling with awareness. "My prince, I don't understand," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Prince Charm's smile was enigmatic. "You will, my beauty," he promised. "You will." He leaned in closer, his breath whispering against her skin. The maid's heart skipped a beat as she felt his lips brush against her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "Tell me, little one," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "What do you dream of at night?" The maid's eyes fluttered closed, her mind racing with the prince's words. No one had ever asked her what she wanted, what she dreamed of. She was just a maid, a servant, a nobody. "I...I dream of freedom," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Prince Charm's fingers stilled, his body tense. For a moment, the maid wondered if she had said too much. But then, the prince's fingers resumed their gentle caress. "Freedom," he repeated, his voice soft. "I can offer you that, my beauty. I can offer you so much more." The maid's eyes snapped open, her heart racing with excitement. What did the prince mean? What did he offer? The maid's eyes searched Prince Charm's face, trying to read his intentions. "What do you mean, my prince?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Prince Charm's smile was mysterious. "I can offer you a life beyond this castle," he said, his eyes glinting with promise. "A life of luxury, of comfort, of freedom." The maid's heart skipped a beat. No one had ever offered her such a thing before. She was just a maid, and a servant. But Prince Charm's words made her feel like she was someone, like she mattered. "What do I have to do?" she asked, her voice trembling with excitement. Prince Charm's fingers traced the curve of her cheek, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "You have to trust me," he said, his voice low and husky. "You have to trust me, and follow me." The maid's eyes searched his face, trying to read his intentions. But all she saw was sincerity, and a deep longing. She took a deep breath, and nodded. "I trust you, my prince," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Prince Charm's smile was radiant. "Then come with me," he said, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Come with me, and I will show you a life beyond your wildest dreams." As walked into the room, Prince Charm stopped and looked at her, his eyes burning with intensity. "I have a proposition for you," he said, his voice low and husky. "I want you to be mine, completely. I want to use you for my pleasure, and in return, I'll give you anything you desire." The maid's heart skipped a beat as she processed his words. She felt a mix of emotions: shock, fear, but also a spark of curiosity. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Prince Charm's smile was seductive. "I mean that I want you to surrender to me, body and soul. I want to be your master, and you my willing servant." The maid's eyes searched his face, trying to read his intentions. She knew that she should be afraid, but a part of her was drawn to the prince's words. The maid's heart raced as she considered the prince's words. She knew that she should be afraid, but a part of her was drawn to the idea of surrendering to him. "What do I have to do?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Prince Charm's smile grew wider. "You have to trust me," he said. "You have to trust me completely." The maid took a deep breath and nodded. "I trust you," she said, her voice firm. Prince Charm's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Good," he said. "Then let us begin." He reached out and took her hand, leading her to a nearby door. The maid's heart pounded in her chest as she wondered what lay ahead. As they entered the room, the maid saw that it was filled with lavish furnishings and soft, velvet drapes. Prince Charm led her to a large, ornate bed, and gestured for her to lie down. "The maid hesitated for a moment, but then did as she was told. Prince Charm smiled and led her to his bed. Meanwhile, Prince Finn visited Princess Lora in the dungeon, bringing food as usual. "How are you doing?" he asked. "I'm fine," Princess Lora responded. "Okay," Prince Finn said with a warm smile. Princess Lora's eyes locked onto his. "I feel like you're my mate. Don't deny it." Prince Finn shifted uncomfortably. "No, I am not. Please, let's not bring up that issue now." Just then, he noticed a familiar mark on her hand - the same mark he had on his own hand. Could it be true that Princess Lora is my mate? He pushed the thought aside and bid her goodnight, leaving the dungeon. The next morning, Prince Charm woke up feeling tired and groggy. He rolled around in bed and realized someone was lying next to him. He sluggishly opened his eyes to find the maid still sleeping. His eyes widened in shock, and he immediately jumped out of bed. The maid stirred, and Prince Charm shouted, "Hey, Littyrag! What are you doing in my bed? Get your stinky body out of my room!" The maid quickly got dressed and headed for the door. Prince Charm stopped her, pulling out a bundle of money from his drawer. "Take this, but let no one know about last night. If you do, you'll regret it. Clean yourself up, you stink!" The maid took the money and left the room, feeling a mix of emotions. She was relieved to have escaped the prince's wrath, but also hurt by his harsh words. As she walked down the hallway, she ran into Prince Finn. Chapter 4 "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, noticing her tears. It's nothing she leaves prince Finn not minding he leaves too. Prince Charm set out to view the park and decided to go on a ride with his favorite horse. "This feels good, being a prince!" he said, spreading his hands across the air like a bird and closing his eyes, his robe swinging like a flag. He rode around the field, still under his guard's protection. "Why are all of you still standing there, looking at me like I'm a lunatic?" Prince Charm asked, walking up to one of the soldiers. "Have you ever tried doing anything apart from just standing like a statue, with a sword ready to devour at all times? Are you even human? Gosh! I am surrounded by ghosts." He rode his horse back to the palace and realized it was under attack. "Guards, let's go undercover!" he shouted, just then an arrow flew straight and pierced his back. "Ahaaaah!" he cried, falling to the ground, blood gushing out of his body. Alpha Julien Saint walked towards Prince Charm. "I need my daughter," he said. Prince Charm replied, "Your Highness, she is not here. We are searching for her." Alpha Julien Saint snarled, "Then where is she, you incompetent soul? I wouldn't mind putting all your heads down to find my daughter." Prince Finn, already captive and beaten, found an opportunity to escape and ran to hide. He instructed the guards strictly not to reveal Princess Lora's Location. Princess Lora screamed in the dungeon, but her voice was muffled. The dungeon was deep down, and her voice couldn't be heard. One of the palace maids, Hailey, snucks into the dungeon with sleeping lace potion fresh fruit juice. She give them to the guards. After 30 minutes, they all slept off. Hailey helped Princess Lora out. Just then, Princess Lora realized who Alpha Julien Saint was, and she felt a connection with him. She felt pity for his missing daughter and promised to find her. Prince Finn was angry and immediately threw a sword at Alpha Julien Saint, stabbing his chest and penetrating deep. Alpha Julien Saint fell unconscious. Everyone ran out and began killing the remaining guards of Alpha Julien Saint, but one of the guards escaped and ran back to the palace with the king's body. He alerted everyone to be on guard.
