CHAPTER 61 AMELIA’S POV The room was suffocatingly silent. I stood in front of the large conference table, my hands intertwined behind my back, my heart practically slamming against my ribs. Not knowing what they were saying only made it worse. The longer they stayed silent, the more I prepared myself for rejection. Then one of the senior investors cleared his throat. The sound broke the silence of the room, and I froze where I stood.
