Oh my God!" I muttered as I turned to face the injured stranger. I pushed through the fear that was about to stop me, driven by instinct. I immediately knelt next to him, the metallic tang of blood heavy in the air. I quickly recognized him as the Alpha of the shadow Crescent Pack
I wanted to run away and abandon him to his fate with every fiber of my body, but I was unable to do so. My instinct to assist and save a life that was in danger sparked something within me.
I dragged him inside my house with shaky hands, his weight pressing heavily on my weak body. With a gentle thump, the door shut behind us, enclosing us in a realm of obscurity.
He was covered in wounds, all of which bore witness to the trauma he had experienced. I hurried quickly, searching through my limited supplies for anything that may stop the bleeding or lessen his pain.
As I labored, I lost track of time, using my hands with a desperation-driven precision. I tried my best to fix the damaged man's body that was in front of me by sewing and applying bandages.
However, it wasn’t enough.
With every strained breath he drew, I could feel his life fading away, his skin turning pale under my fingertips. Fear nearly overcame me while I looked for a way out, for something that would pull him out of the deep.
I remembered it, a small spark in the dark.
The power that was inside me, the power to heal. I didn’t know I had this power until I was sixteen years old. It was a day I would never forget, a day that changed my life forever.
That day, the alpha of our pack, Damien, came to our house. He was a cruel and ruthless man, feared by everyone. He had the right to take any omega he wanted, for any purpose he desired. He had come to take me.
I was terrified. I had heard the stories of how he treated his omegas, how he abused them, tortured them, and killed them. I didn’t want to go with him, I didn’t want to leave my family. But I had no choice. He grabbed me by the hair and dragged me to his car, ignoring my screams and cries. He threw me in the back seat and drove away, leaving my parents sobbing and helpless.
He took me to his lair, a huge mansion surrounded by walls and guards. He locked me in a small room, with nothing but a bed and a bucket. He told me I was his maid, that he would do whatever he wanted with me, and I had to obey him.
I hated him with every fiber of my being. I wished I could escape, But I couldn’t. I was powerless and helpless.
I spent the first day crying and refusing to do any work. He punished me by beating me with his belt, leaving bruises and cuts all over my body. I spent the night curled up on the floor, shivering and bleeding.
The next day, I decided to run away. I waited until he was gone, and then I sneaked out of my room. I ran through the halls, looking for a way out. I saw a window, and I ran towards it.
But before I could reach it, I heard a scream, a scream of someone in trouble.
I stopped, looked around and then I saw a boy, lying on the ground, near a stream. He had a large cut on his ankle, and blood was gushing out. He was groaning in agony, clutching his wound.
He looked at me, with pleading eyes. He said, “Help me, please.”
I hesitated. I didn’t know who he was, But I knew he was hurt and I needed to help him
I ran to him. I tore a piece of my cloth and wrapped it around his ankle, trying to stop the bleeding. Then I felt a surge of energy as I held on to his legs and to my surprise and his, the wound was closing up slowly until it closed up completely like there was nothing there in the first place.
I didn't know who this boy was but I knew I didn't want anyone to find out about this.
“Please you can’t tell anyone about this okay?” I said to him and he looked at me in confusion
“Haven't you done this before?” he asked
“No, it's the first time I've noticed I have such powers please keep it a secret please” I pleaded with him.
“Okay” he responded and I didn't even bother to ask his name or pack, I just left him and ran back to the alpha’s Lair.
I heard a groan coming from the stranger lying in my apartment, snapping me back from memory land.
With a nervous breath, I looked inside myself, finding the energy that was inside me. It came out like a fire, moving through my veins and into the man lying next to me.
I watched as his wounds got better, as his face got some color and his breathing began to stabilize. I smiled
But even as I was happy with what I did, a feeling of worry came over me like a cover.
I had to leave. I didn't want him to wake up and meet me in this apartment, it wasn't safe for me. If he woke up to see the face of the person who saved him, he might not care about the fact that I had saved his life, he might hand me over to my pack authorities who are eagerly waiting to get a whole of me and kill me. So I stood up quickly and started packing my things, I had thought I would stay here for a while in this nice neighborhood but here I am running for my life again.
I packed my things into my backpack, picked up my credit card, and came out of my room trying to get to the front door and suddenly he stirred.
