By the time Torben awoke the following morning, the day was well and truly underway. Warm yellow daylight streamed through the tiny slit window and cast a golden beam on the floor. Gwilym was already awake and had his ear pressed to a c***k in the door, apparently listening for movement on the other side. Torben struggled into an upright position and staggered to his feet, trying his best to stretch out his muscles, even though he still couldn’t move his arms properly.
