openlygoodTorben felt a nervous lump in his throat as he passed through the arch of the gatehouse, but a bored looking guard merely passed a casual eye over him as he walked by. Torben had deliberately loosened the straps of his pack so that the folds of his leather overcoat would flap more freely in the breeze and show he wasn’t hiding anything within.
