He watched Emily leave Fredies and didn’t leave himself until the place was closing up a few minutes after midnight. Grabbing an extra package of food for the man in his basement, Tony paid the check and walked out. As usual, he drove to a*****e to get some new booze. He had finished the last one the night before, needing to drink himself to sleep to get any rest. That was how life was for him now.
