His Blessed Luna Found at Last

Chapter 7. Sparks Fly

Elia

The feeling of being in Zane's arms just felt right to me. "Then... please don't let me go," I plead. I can feel something shift in his voice as he leans down closer to my ear.

"Not as long as I live and breathe, little Luna," he whispers. My heart starts to race and I hug him a little tighter, burying my face in his chest. His embrace tightens as well and something unlocks in my heart. I don't know what it is, but I feel it.

He bends down and gently picks me up, and I lay against his chest, closing my eyes with contentedness. Exhaustion starts tugging at me as soon as I do. Zane's scent certainly didn't help. I force myself to stay awake long enough to feel him lay me down in a bed and climb next to me.

The bed was so soft, and I think the sheets were either silk or borderline silk and felt amazing. I wiggle closer to Zane and curl up on his arm and, in response, he tugs me as close as he can have me and drapes his arm over me. After that? Sleep wins and drags me off.

"They're coming back, Elia. You need to be prepared," a voice whispers. I look around desperately, searching for where it was coming from, but I couldn't find them. "They'll be here soon..."

A huge gray wolf towers over me, growling and stalking towards me. My heart beats faster and faster as I stare at them before they pounce, their teeth barred at me. There's a sharp pain in my neck and stomach as everything goes black.

I wake up with a start, sitting up in bed and breathing heavily. Zane sits up too. "What's wrong?" he asks, looking at me worriedly. The words get stuck in my throat as the wolf's image is burned into my brain. Zane pulls me against him and I clutch him as the feeling of the bond starts to calm me down, his scent starting to intoxicate me. "Better?"

My head moves, but I don't exactly feel it. I don't trust my voice to answer that question. Turning to look out the window, I see the low light of the early morning peeking through and sigh a little.

I get out of bed and walk towards what I assume is the bathroom only to find I've opened the closet instead. Zane snickers behind me and I glare at him before he points to a door on the opposite wall. "Thank you," I grumble out and walk into the bathroom.

Not sure who knew I would take a bath this morning, but if I had to guess, I'd say Daniel. Only because my personal belongings are laid out in a specific order that I put them in, my favorite towel from home is hanging up, and I see all of my soaps and such in the shower. A smile forms on my face and I begin to remove my clothes.

"Never thought I'd live to see the day," someone says behind me. I freeze and turn around, thankful I'm still in my bra and underwear as I see Zane leaning in the doorway with his arms crossed and a s**t-eating grin on his face.

"Out!" I exclaim, my face going red. I'm not exactly sure why I'm suddenly so shy in front of my mate, since I've taken showers around my previous warriors and even went to training where we literally ended up naked in front of the others, and I was one of the few women there. But hey, here we are.

He doesn't listen and comes closer, running his fingers down my sides. My muscles jump underneath his touch and I find myself shivering with desire. Sparks from the mate bond jolt through my body from his touch, and all of a sudden, it feels like I can't breathe. His lips find mine in a hot and passionate kiss, my arms going around his neck and my hand tangled in his hair.

A soft moan leaves my throat and Zane grabs my hips, pulling me flush against him, one hand on my back, the other grabbing my thigh and picking me up, placing me on the sink. I nibble at his lower lip, and he chuckles before allowing my tongue permission to taste and explore him, and oh my Goddess does he taste like heaven.

His hands unhook my bra and toss it on the floor, making me gasp at the sudden cold air hitting my chest. I close my eyes, my face getting hot. I can feel something hard against my thighs and my body starts to tremble as Artemis starts putting ideas into my head about the things he could do to me.

Zane squeezes my thighs as I feel hot breath on my neck, right over my marking spot. I throw my head back as he kisses and sucks on it. Another moan escapes when I feel his canines graze the sensitive skin, my own gums tingling in response, begging to release my canines and mark him as my mate. I almost give in before he pulls away.

The sparks are gone. I look at him and see his eyes black with l**t as he moves away from me with a hand over his mouth, and I'm positive my eyes mirror his. "I swear you're going to drive me crazy, Elia," he mutters, his gaze drifting down to my exposed body. My arms go on autopilot and I cover myself.

I can tell he's holding back for my sake. Quite sweet if you think about it. 'Yeah... It's sweet, but you and I both know it's not what either of us right now-' Artemis whines in my head. I sigh a little and Zane slowly looks back up at my face.

"I should go... before we don't leave this bathroom until tomorrow." My heart skips a beat at his words and I can feel myself getting more and more aroused at the thought of being with him again and again all day. "Might you give me the pleasure tonight?" he questions, gently grabbing my chin and running his thumb over my bottom lip.

"I-I don't know, Zane," I stutter out. He chuckles and leans in for one more kiss before leaving me alone in the bathroom. He's absolutely nothing like Justin, and I am 100% happy about that. Maybe life would've turned out differently if he had accepted me instead. I shake the thought from my head and quickly turn on the water to take a bath.

Life is better this way. Without Justin. So what if he was my childhood best friend? He was dating my sister and didn't want me in the end. I just hope he understands what he lost. I will never look back and wonder what if because I have something better.

After a nice, long soak in the hot water and thoroughly washing myself, I feel like a new wolf and a new woman. Zane was nowhere to be found, and while I found that to be upsetting, I didn't mind too much. I walk out into the bedroom again and grab out my lotion and clothes. Just because I was naturally healthy in most aspects due to me being a supernatural being, doesn't mean I can't use things humans need, like lotion.

There was a slight knock at the door and I wrap myself in a towel. "Who is it?" I ask, sniffing the air a little. Lemon and orange. Definitely Danny. I dunno why he always had a citrusy scent, but it's always been comforting to me. "It's your best friend. Need anything?" I think for a moment before I decide on yes.

My mind drifts to Zane for a second before I answer considering Daniel is another male. I don't think he would appreciate that, but... he has already found his mate. So surely it must be okay. "Yeah, come in," I breathe. He walks in with his back turned and arms crossed.

"What took you so long to answer?" he inquires. I can see the upset expression on his face and laugh at it. "Worried about your lover finding out I'm in here and you're not dressed? I spoke to him actually. He was a bit reserved with the idea and after giving me a death threat which nearly set my mate off, he agreed." A sigh leaves my body.

"How do you always know when to show up and know just what to say?" I laugh slightly, feeling embarrassed. He shrugs his shoulders and I shake my head at him. "I swear. Also, thanks for my bath things this morning." Danny nods and I turn to get dressed.

Before I can put on my lotion, Daniel gasps. "Not that one! The other one!!" he exclaims. I look around the bed, trying to figure out what the hell he meant since this was my only lotion. "The one that made Justin damn near go crazy when you turned 21!"

A smirk finds its way to my face and I quickly look for my things and search through them. Artemis made me pack it just in case. For some reason, it enhances my scent, and those that already find me attractive only want me that much more. Artemis thought it would be a good idea for bed time with Zane and while I agreed, I wasn't sure I would actually use it.

"Why this one in particular?" I ask, picking it up from my bag. It wasn't anything extravagant. I bought it from a human store once because the name intrigued me. It was called, 'Love Spell' and since as far as I know humans can't do magic, I had to see what it was about.

"Listen, you put that on and Zane wouldn't leave your side for a second!" A laugh escapes me again and I start to put the substance on my skin, already smelling the effects. "I think you might knock him dead, so be careful."

"Got it." I get dressed as quickly as I can, throwing on a dark blue dress that was pretty flowy, and went down to my calves, grabbing my black flats. After putting clothes on, Daniel braids my hair over my shoulder as I could never do it myself.

Danny looks at me and nods in approval. "There is the Elia I know! Goddess level stunning in the simplest of things," he exclaims. A blush starts spreading across my face and a giggle leaves my throat.

"Whatever you goof, let's just go..." We walk to the dining room to find Zane, Killian, Austin, Gabe, and a couple others already there. Zane stiffens as I get closer and I see his wolf fighting to get to the surface.

"Are you alright man?" Austin asks. He just growls in response. His reaction gets worse when I go to sit next to him. Instead, he moves me to his lap, his face buried in my neck.

My face feels hot as I can only remember the other people in the room. "Why must you tempt me so damn much? Do you not want to walk that badly, little Luna?" he asks me, though no one else responds to his words.

His words, along with the jolts I feel have made my mind go blank. I turn to look at Zane and the next thing I know, his lips are crashing against mine. Everything is blissful and I truly have no desire to let it end.

"Hey, hey, hey! We get it, she smells nice and you're mates, but cmon man. We're at the table-" Gabe starts, only earning a glare from Zane in response. I take that chance to move into my own chair, blushing heavily. Will my time here ever not be like this?
