We arrived at the hospital in the early afternoon. Maxwell pulled over in the hospital's parking lot. I got down hurriedly and proceeded to the front desk, dialing Chloe's phone number. The bodyguard walked behind me.
"Mia!" A voice called from behind. I turned and saw Chloe walking towards me.
"Where is she?" I asked with fear in my eyes.
"Come with me."
I walked beside Chloe as we found our way to the accident and emergency department where mom was admitted.
"Mia, we heard everything that happened."
"What did you hear?"
"How your people sold you to an old man," Chloe said and looked pathetically at me.
"Who told you?"
"The news circulated in the neighborhood and people are not happy you accepted such horrible decisions. What is wrong with you, Mia?"
