Annabelle POV
Beating everyone in class has got to be a blessing i already spoke to the professor about my habits in the class and he doesn't mind but when my grades starts dropping he pick on me and make sure I'm listening, however I'm hundred per cent certain that my grades definitely wont be dropping no chance, my father taught me so he has nothing to worry about, ill almost hundred per cent positive ill have the best grades. I'm not sure how long i was sat there with a cap on my face but i felt a tap on my shoulder and I'm going to take a wild guess and say the lessons over, pulling my cap away from my eyes i notice everyone leaving, i place the cap on my head and walk out heading over to business class however i cant sleep in that one as the professor had already called me out on my earphones but i put her in her place when I answered her question on the board which i didn't mean to do, i just hate when people assumes I'm not listening or don't no anything because of my earphones. Walking though the business door someone bumps into me
"Oh s**t I'm so sorry" I remove one of my earphones so it looks like I'm listening even though i heard her, she gives me an apologist look before picking her bag back up the one she dropped when walking into me
"It's fine" is all i say walking into the class and taking a seat at the back, i still don't talk much especially to new people, they lucky if they get a couple of words out of me but if I ignored the girl she think i was rude which I'm not, my mother raised a lady, I'm just not one for meeting people who ask too many questions. Waiting for everyone else to get in the seat i notice the girl who walked into me and just my luck she takes a seat next to me with a smile, why me? Haven't i spoke enough today to. At least last a week, silently moaning to myself i try my best to ignore her but its not working, she seems friendly and nice but i don't want or need friends, her and Danielle would definitely get along.
Watching everyone take notes and listen to the lesson i cant help but think that maybe the detention centre might of been the better pick, it definitely has to beat sitting here and listening to the professor who looks his own voice, just like everyone else. I'm already wanting to throw the white towel, maybe I could find something to do with my time out of the classroom to make my life a little more enjoyable because right now its nothing. I missed the speed of racing but office lively will arrest me if he sees me in that town and with that type of crowd. Pulling my phone out i look for my uncle number
Me: please tell me there's something to do in this town? I really miss racing and I'm sure you don't want me to get arrested;)
Uncle: there was a old race track but it's up for sale sorry kiddo. The other race track is in use for the pro races
me: illegal racing it is;)
I love messing with my uncle because right now I'm sure he's having a heart attack thinking about me racing illegal even though I wouldn't do that to him i am definitely thinking about it as this town is a boring one. Thinking about the last text mentioning it's for sale a idea goes off in my head, maybe i could buy it and restore it, the police cant arrest me if its on private property, my private property. I just have to make sure i have a first aid in the car if i crash. A little research and i find the race track my uncle was talking about but it didn't give me much time as the class has started packing up, i didn't realise how quick it went.
"If you want to study together I'm free" i hear the girl next to me say and once again I'm pulling my earphone out, i don't even know the girls name but she's president, ill give her that, as we walk out together she hands her number to me
"Sorry i didn't catch your name" i say with a polite smile trying my damn hardest not to be rude and tell her the same i told that miller dude or was it Milly, what was his name again...
"I'm Lacey" she says sticking out her hand to shake and as a polite lady i am i shake her hand, she took me as a hugger but guess i was wrong, adding her name and number in my phone i text her giving her mine and a part of me thinks I'm going to regret it but i should be fine, i deal with illegal racers, a college girl should be a walk in the park however before we could carry on with the conversation, i see my cousin walk over to me with a serious look, oh s**t.
"Annie you cant be serious" Callum says walking over ignoring the girl next to me, i hate how my uncle tells my cousins everything I'm shocked the other twin Oliver isn't here giving me a piece of his mind but I guess there's still time in the day. As i look in between Lacey and Callum it looks like she knows him, its the look of pity in her eyes.
"I'm sorry for your loss. My brother is a racer and he knew your uncle" Lacey says and i turn round and pretty much run in the other direction, I hate when people bring up my parents, its been just over three months but it's fresh in my mind
"Annie" i hear Callum yell but he doesn't come chasing which I'm thankful for, I'm hopeful he wont be telling anyone I'm his cousin as i cant handle the look of pity anymore.
I hate being in the passenger seat but uncle told me i had no other choices, we both sat in the car heading to make a offer on the old race track, myself and uncle both had the same idea about buying the land from him along with the race track. Uncle Liam clearly doesn't want me in trouble so buying the race track was the only solution. I'm excited as i never had my own place where i can enjoy myself but I'm pissed i wasn't allowed to drive. As we pull up a older man stands there with his wife waiting for us and they both look like lovely people but you don't judge a book by its cover which i have done too much since moving here. Being only nineteen I knew they wouldn't of taken me seriously so uncle said he do all the talking and I'm buying as i didn't want my uncle to be ever out of pocket, i have enough money to last me a life time, my parents had huge life insurance, and I have my saving from playing football. The old couple takes us around the property letting us look around and when i see the race track I thought it might need more work to do but it doesn't, the pair are only selling it as they cant afford it with the new wreckage track not far from here but I couldn't care as i wont be sharing for a while
"The out building comes with it, inside it has ladies and gentlemen toilet with a little cafe, a medical room and a office" i give my uncle a nod as I'll definitely be taking this, just needs a little tidying up and it be fine, uncle walks off ready to put pen to paper and when they said we buy it out straight there jaws dropped, i have the money so why drag it along. What felt like forever uncle finally walks out with a hand full of paper and a smile on his face, looks like a done deal. My own race track.
