THE HUNT 1

712 Words
Agent Stone has left Catalina villas and headed towards the coast of Sand Diego, driving fast in his car and thinking. ‘how do I get in the apartment? If it is gated and heavily guarded then a direct approach will prove quite difficult, probably impossible too. Disguising will be a difficult as well and hacking into their server is not an option either so calling HQ for support is no use either. I have to work this one out on my own' He shifted the gear stick and stepped on the gas, accelerating even faster. After two hours of speeding off, Agent Stone arrived at the coast of San Diego California. He drove around the neighborhood, maintaining his distance while he surveys the apartment; he noticed that the compound is completely gated with no gaps that he can use to get in the house. There are seven security operatives patrolling the compound, covering every corner and rotating every twenty minutes. He concluded that it is impossible to infiltrate the compound without a sort of fight and his chances of completing the mission will be even further deranged if that happens. Each of the seven security guards has a submachine gun strapped to their inner jackets so perfectly hidden that normal passerby’s wont notice, but for a seasoned assassin like Stone, it took but one look to ascertain not just that the men are armed, but that each of them has another gun apart from the service pistol on their hip. Agent Stone drove away from the compound into the neighborhood around it, from a distance he saw a tall skyscraper towering higher than any building in the neighborhood, instinctively, he had an idea of how to attack his target and get away from the scene as quickly and stealthily as possible. He drove to the building which has a community bank in the first three floors, a lot corporate offices, meeting halls and an indoor furniture workshop and display room on the floors above the bank. He drove his car around the building, approaching it from behind and parking his car in the alley behind The building. He parked the car inside the scanty alley and opened the trunk. He pulled out a bag with a long structure inside and, he also pulled out two hand guns and strapped them inside his jacket and proceeded to approach the back entrance of the building where two security men were stationed. As he got closer, the two guards stopped him to identify himself. “I am Carlo Sam, here to deliver the delivery of these hand crafted wooden pieces for the boss” Agent Stone said with a voice and mannerism that was good enough to convince both the officers. They looked at each other and waved him to move through. He walked inside the building and started to climb up using the stairs and after what felt like forever, he finally reached the top of the building, he closed the door behind him, locking it with a padlock and found the perfect spot on the roof that gives him a direct line of sight to Shadrach’s gated community and most importantly, Shadrach’s house, where his target Dr. Reece Mallory is believed to be hiding. He pulled out what was in the bag, revealing a very long sniper rifle, he laid the riffle on the floor and started to screw it on the tip of the riffle. When he was set, he pulled out a windvane and placed it next to himself, placing his eye near the visual the scope of the gun and aimed at the direction that Shadrach’s mansion and the gated community. At first, he was jut seeing a few houses but after he has refocused the scope properly, he finally found Shadrach’s house. The seven armed guards are still patrolling the compound. He readjusted the scope for accuracy and started checking the windows of the house one by one, hoping to get lucky that his target will show up in one of the windows, and he will take his shot, killing her instantly and he will bolt back to his charger on time and drive the heck out of the place before any one noticed his presence at all.
