Mystic Falls 1863 (One year before Damon and Stefan were turned) 

I ran as fast as I could, the blood pumping through my body, I threw myself onto the ground, "HA! Touchdown" I yelled. 

"Damn, she beat us at the game we made up Damon" I laughed at Stefan's smart remarks. 

"Now, now brother no need to be a sore loser" 

"Well you have beaten us 6 times and counting" Damon Retorted 

"Well I need a break from winning that much times, I'm just gonna sit down and watch you two play," I said out of breath. 

"Okay enjoy watching me beat Stefan" Stefan fake laughed. 

"I'm pretty sure Alexa will be watching me beat you but okay" I laughed. 

I sat for a good 10 minutes watching them run back and forth down the garden throwing the ball around while laughing at each other's remarks. Sometimes I wish life was easier. 

Damon's POV: 

After 13 minutes of us throwing the ball around and annoying each other as per usual, Stefan and I decided to call it a day, as we were walking up the garden I didn't see the small figure that was usually sitting on the step just before the front door, "Where's Alexa?" I asked Stefan Confused, "I saw her 3 minutes ago sitting right here?" Stefan Shrugged his shoulders. 

"She's Probably just inside" I know he's wrong Alexa never goes inside without me, she fears father terribly, but still she probably just needed some water. We walked into the kitchen to find it empty, My stomach began to feel sick, "Alexa?" I shouted walking into the Family Room, No answer. I ran up the stairs and barged into her room, Empty, "Alexa! This is not funny!" I shouted tears running down my face, I had one job and that was too look after her and I couldn't do that. I sprinted down the stairs and went outside to the Back patio, "Alexa!" I cried, "Please Alexa!" I broke down, I fell to my knees in hysterics. 

Mystic Falls 2014 151 Years Later: 

I woke up with sweat dripping everywhere, another bad dream, I rolled over to see Stefan leaning against the Doorframe, "Hey brother" I said softly. 

"You okay?" Stefan asked concerned, "I heard you shouting things and you were crying in your sleep" 

"Yeah I'm Fine just a bad dream, that's all" I lied, I'm not fine its been 151 years since my little sister went missing. 

"Damon, I am not stupid, I know what day it is today, I...I... Miss her too" He said Softly 

"IM FINE OKAY STEFAN" I snapped, I'm sick of people saying that it's alright to still be grieving, I just want my baby sister back. 

"Okay, well I'll be downstairs if you need me" He turned around and left, I did my usual Morning stretch and got out of bed and headed for the bathroom to turn on the Shower. I let the hot water run down my face, I stood there thinking about how different it would have been if Alexa hadn't gone missing, I mean we wouldn't be here because the only reason Katherine was allowed into our home was because she was a replacement for Alexa. After my very much needed shower, I got dressed into the usual stuff, Black Shirt and black Jeans, Walked downstairs to be greeted by a very cheery Elena, "Morning Damon!" I walked right past her ignoring her presence, "Gee someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" This maddened me, I pinned her up against the wall, 

"You better watch what you say" I yelled in her face, she looked genuinely terrified for her life, 

"DAMON WHAT ARE YOU DOING GET OFF HER" Stefan yelled while grabbing me away. Once again i broke down, i fell to my knees and burst out into tears, "Why did she leave us Stefan" I felt arms wrap around me, "Why, Why, WHY!" 

"Hey, It's fine, It's fine, calm down" Stefan hugged me, "I miss her so much" Another pair of arms wrapped around me, It was Elena, I could tell it was her scent. 

"We are all here for you Damon" Her voice was so soothing it immediately calmed me down. 

"Im so sorry Elena I-I-I didn't-" 

"It's fine Damon, you don't have to explain anything to me until you're ready" She interuppted me. 

"No i want to explain" I Softly whispered, "1 year before Stefan and I were turned, we had a little sister, Alexa was her name, She was only 15. One day we were all out playing football in the front garden, she got really tired so she took a break and waiting by the back door for us to finish playing, after about 15 minutes we finished the game and went to go find Alexa, but we.. we never found her and today would mark 151 years since she went missing" Tears were running down Stefan's cheeks now aswell as mine. 

"I'm so sorry, Both of you must miss her so much" Elena said softly. Stefan walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, that was my cue to leave. 

"I'm gonna head out now, I have to meet up with Someone" Another lie. I grabbed my keys and left and found myself pulling up infront of the Grill, It's gonna be a long day i can already tell...
