"What the actual f**k", Quinn screamed when she walked into Charlotte's room.
"It's not what you think honestly", Michael removed his hand from Charlotte's shoulder. He walked to Quinn who had just met him hugging his past enemy and presently a friend.
"Don't even think about coming close to me", Quinn said as she moved back from him.
"Baby... please", he tried to beg her but she wouldn't listen.
"Just let me be Michael", Quinn said as she tried to walk out of the room when Charlotte shouted,
" I'm sorry please, try to understand that it was a misunderstanding".
She turned around with anger and walked to Charlotte. "Look who's speaking... What do you know about misunderstandings? You're nothing but a poor wretched maid whose parents owe a huge amount of money to this family", Quinn lashed out at her without minding her words.
"At least I'm not the one whose mom bangs another guy without protection and ends up with an unwanted baby", Charlotte said angrily.
"CHARLOTTE!", Mrs. Devi screamed from the doorway looking very angry.
Quinn felt like it was the end of the world at the moment. It was painful. Everything was painful. Everyone was painful.
There was a long silence in the room before Michael said something. "Quinn come on, she didn't mean it".
"No. It's true", Quinn cried and looked at Charlotte's face. "What's his name?".
"Mr. Raymond", Charlotte felt really bad. She didn't mean to hurt her.
Quinn cried again. She ran out of the room gently pushing Mrs. Devi, who was standing at her door trying to console her, and headed for the stairs.
"Look what you've caused young lady", Mrs. Devi shouted and left the room.
She was in a hurry to meet up with Quinn, who was already halfway down the stairs, "Quinn wait... Quinn listen to me... I AM TALKING TO YOU QUINN".
She stopped and turned to look at Mrs. Devi. "You don't know what it's like to be abandoned in another country and coming back to meet...", she cried as she tried to keep talking, when Mrs. Devi walked to her and hugged her.
"No... I can't be here right now", she pulled back from Mrs. Devi and walked to the door.
"Where are you going?", Mrs. Devi asked her before she slammed the door on her.
That's it. Quinn left. "Would someone please stop this torture?", she cried as Charlotte came running down the stairs. She held Mrs. Devi and led her to the living room. She sat down with her for a while before Michael came in with his hands on his head. "I'm so ashamed", he said as he sat on the cushion opposite them.

"Who's there?", Mr. Raymond replied to the person banging on his door as he walked hurriedly to get it. "Ohh girl, it's you", he said looking hopeless.
"Of course it's me you st*pid d*ckhead", she screamed at him. He could tell she was angry from the way she talked.
"Excuse me?", he said walking out of the house to stand on the porch.
"You're the father of Taylor right?", she groaned in pain. Looking at his face already made her want to throw up.
"It was a mistake Quinn", he begged her but she pushed him and screamed.
"My mom never told me who the father was when I got back from Canada", she breathed out.
"So how did you find out?", he began to act suspicious.
"Mrs. Devi's poor maid said it", she cried and stormed out, leaving him alone there.
He made a frown on his face and got angry. He remembered when Mr. Ben, the chairman of the house of representatives of the states, father to Michael Stanley, had warned Charlotte politely about this issue. Now it was time to take things aggressively.
"I can't believe she's gone", Michael sighed. "Why would you say such thing to her?", he shouted at Charlotte who was now standing beside the dining room.
"I didn't know it would result to this. I'm sorry", She apologized. She knew Mrs. Devi was very angry with her and might not be speaking to her anytime soon.
Why was it just when they were all getting together.
"Mom... I have to go look for her", Michael stood up with annoyance.
"I'll come with you", Mrs. Devi went upstairs to take the car keys, while Michael went to the kitchen to wash his face. He just stood there wandering if all this was a dream. He wished it was. He felt the urge to beat up Charlotte but he was a changed man now. Even though she made a mistake, she wasn't supposed to beaten. He walked up to her and saw the tears in her eyes but she was holding them back.
He hugged her and sniffed her hair. She cried in his arms. "It's gonna be alright", he tried to convince her. He pulled back and wiped her tears with his hand. He wanted Quinn back, he didn't mean to shout at her, it was out of anger. He went back to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"Can I come with?", Charlotte asked him even though she knew that was a dangerous question. Mom was still angry at her and wasn't in the mood to be with her now.
"Umm... you know how angry my mother is now. I think it's best if you just stay and watch over the house. It's just 7pm, you can still watch TV if you like", Michael handed her the remote. He was at the door when mom came down the stairs and gave the keys to him. She shook her head at Charlotte before leaving.
Charlotte went to the porch and watched Michael drive the Ford out of the garage. Mom got into the backseat and they drove off.
Charlotte sighed and went back into the house.
"What's wrong baby?", a weird man carrying a bottle of alcohol walked up to Quinn. She was in a club drinking with a group of guys.
"It's none of your business dude", she sipped her drink.
It was her 3rd glass now. She was getting high and she knew it.
He dropped his bottle on the table where other drinks were and held her hand. She stood up and went to him. They walked out of the bar. "Do you mind telling me what's wrong with you now?", he asked her as he pushed the little hair strands in her face to the back of her ear.
"I'm fine, it's just that I had a little argument at home and it's driving me crazy", she laughed. The excess alcohol she had taken was starting to weaken her and it was having little impact on her mental health.
"Ahhhh what a world. I want to marry all the white men in this country and take them home to explore their bodies, it's gonna be nice right?", she said, coming close to him.
"I'm sorry miss but I don't think you're okay", he said as he stepped back from where she stood.
"Are you crazy nigga? You don't even know who you're talking to. I'm the future wife of Mr. Michael", she slapped him and he screamed.
"What the hell ma'am?", he held her hands tight.
"You're cute as f**k, let's make out", she tried to kiss him as he kept on moving back.
"You know your way back home right?", he held her shoulders. She was obviously drunk and he didn't want to leave her all alone.
"I guess so", she scratched her head. She looked awkwardly confused.
He grabbed her purse and took her phone. She had 7 missed calls. He tapped on the number to return the call. It rang and he heard a male voice. He gave the address of the club to the person and waited outside with Quinn.
He went into the club with her to pay for her drinks and went out again, when he saw the message from her contact saying, "I'm parked in front of the club".
He took her to the car and he saw the man, it was Michael, although the man didn't know him. Michael thanked the man with a little token and took her purse from him and drove off.
"Thank God you're alive Quinn", Mrs. Devi hugged her from the backseat as Quinn was seated in front with Michael.
