Several hours later, they were almost through everyone when the guards all of a sudden quickly moved in around them. They were facing the outside of the building.
“What’s going on?” Alexander asked.
“Someone is here, they are uninvited.” Ember's eyes were glazed over as if she was seeing something else.
“We must move your majesty.” One guard urged her.
Taking his hand, they quickly moved up to the palace. Ember went directly over to a table and broke a vial open. It let off blue and gray smoke. Swirling around until the picture it took was of his mother.
