Christopher's POV “I just sat there watching her run away from the car, from me! Was she that eager to get away from me? She regrets last night, doesn’t she?” “Chris… man calm down, you’ve been pacing around for 30 minutes already" said Marcus, clearly not helping me with the answers I need. After dropping Amelia off at her place or rather, after she ran away from me, I gave Marcus a call and asked if I could come over to his place. I just needed to talk to someone. And Marcus, he dates, he does the whole girlfriend-relationship thing, I've never really done that. Not that I've never tried, but somehow they always end up on my bed before we even get to go on the date. And well… after that… the date never really happen. Now, I just told Marcus everything that happened between me and Amelia, not that he's helping but he did listen. “Don't you think you're overthinking this man? Maybe she was just panicking, you are her boss, or she thought it was just a one-night-stand” added Marcus while shrugging his shoulders and taking a sip of his drink. “One-night-stand? She surely can't think it's just a one-night-stand! Who makes breakfast for their one-night-stands and even drives them home?” I keep on pacing around his living room. “Chris! Sit down! My floor man” I take a seat on the couch, put my elbows on the knees and run my hands through my hair. “What do I do man? I can't just let this be a one-night-stand” I ask dejectedly looking at Marcus, hoping he comes up with a solution for me. "You know how I feel about her" I added while rubbing a hand on my face. “Here's what I propose, don't let your relationship go back to just being professional, show her there's something else. Flirt with her, ask her on a date, just make sure it's not all work between you two" That makes sense. “But what if she regrets last night?” “Then she'll reject the advances you make at her, it is really that simple" I don’t know why I did not think of that. It definitely makes sense. And here I was panicking like a 14 year old. I take the drink Marcus poured for me when I got here. “Thanks man" I tell him quietly while raising my glass at him before taking a sip. “Done with the drama now Mr. Hastings?” Marcus jokes while chuckling at my moment of stupidity. I join him with a chuckle. We later decide to play a game of chess while drinking, talking about this and that. I heard home a few hours later after having dinner with Marcus. Getting home, I take a shower and start brainstorming on how to woo Amelia. Marcus is right, we can't just go back to being professional, not after the night we had. I would not survive it. “Amelia do you have any plans for tonight" no if I ask her this way it will be easy to reject me before I even get a chance to ask her out. “Amelia, you, me, dinner after work, how does that sound?” he shakes his head at his reflection. no that sounds cringey “Amelia can we have dinner together after work?” why does it sound so work related Christopher woke up in the morning with a bang! Feeling energetic and excited for the day. Today he would see Amelia and not wonder if she moans or screams. He now knows that she does both but she's a moaner, screams when it gets real good. He knows the feel of her skin against his, how tight her walls feel around his member and how amazing it feels to wake up with her in his arms. Christopher was in a good mood and decided it was a good day to look good, so he put effort in his appearance today. Instead of going for one of his usual outfits which consist of a black or brown suits with a tie, he went for a something different today. He wore a navy blue two piece suit with a white shirt, leaving the two top buttons unbuttoned. He paired his suit with dark brown double monk strap shoes and a dark brown watch. At the moment he was practicing in front of the mirror, rehearsing on how he was going to ask Amelia to come have dinner with him tonight. He had it all planned out. To make this romantic, he was going to cook for her, candle lights, soft music in the background while eating and wine to lighten up the mood. Talking about anything and everything while getting to know more about each other, losing track of time in each other's arms… He could already see it, and he couldn’t wait for tonight. “I got this! I definitely got this!” a little motivation to himself as he moves from the mirror to the kitchen. He grabs his bag, phone and car keys, and leaves the apartment. There was a small bounce in his step as he got out of the elevators to his office, super excited to see Amelia. When he got to Amelia's desk which is right opposite his office door, he found her organizing some files already started on her work. He stopped a few feet away from the desk and admired her from that distance. Amelia was wearing red dress pants with a matching jacket and a black shirt, looking nothing like woman she was on Saturday. The outfit looked good, it was not tight, it did not outline her beautiful curves but he thought of her as the most attractive woman. Her hair was tied up in a pony tail, exposing her neck. Just looking at her had him forgetting all those lines he practiced in the morning, suddenly his mind was blank. “Good Miss Brown” he greeted when he noticed that Amelia was now standing looking at him. “Good morning Mr. Hasting, how are you this morning?” she greeted him back, cheerful as always, nothing out of the ordinary. She was a professional he had to give her that. But did she truly not feel anything towards him or was she just too good at masking it, he wondered as he moved closer to her desk. “Getting ready for work, I thought it was great. But seeing you made it even better” his voice got lower as he finished with his respond. He looked at her seductively, swiftly ran his tongue over his lower lip then swallowed. “uhm… okay! Great, then!” Amelia did not know what to make of that respond, especially with the way he said those words. “I'll be following you shortly with today's schedule" she quickly added. Christopher gave a nod her with a small smile on his face and turned to his office. What he did not notice was how Amelia was almost drooling after him. He missed the way she fanned her face with a file, attempting to cool down her heated face and nasty thoughts of him. He got to office, placed his bag and car keys on his table. Then he stood in front of his table facing the door, leaning on the table with his back, waiting for Amelia. Amelia knocked once and opened the door before waiting for his reply. “Mr. Hastings…” she paused and looked at him, wondering why was he just standing there. “Amelia” he says her name with a sigh while walking towards her. He took the files she was carrying, pulled her to his table and placed the files on the table then leaned on it while pulling her closer to him. “Mr. Hastings!” her breathing hitched when she noticed the small distance between them. She had promised herself to be professional, act like nothing happened between them. But clearly Mr. Hastings had a different thought. Christopher smirked at her reaction, so she was just good at masking it, she did feel something for him. With one hand caressing her back, while the other caressed her hand, he looked into her eyes as he spoke “Amelia… Come over to my place tonight” his voice was all but a hushed whisper “Your pla-place?” her eyes got wider at his request. “My place. Knock off early, go home, change into something more dressy and come over to place" As he said with words slowly and softly, Amelia's was reminded of Saturday night. To her it sounded like promises of the night, promising her to more of what they had done that night, something she was willing to repeat over again. With that thought, she nodded in agreement with her mouth slightly open. Christopher grinned at her before closing the distance between their lips, giving her a peck. She said yes to the date! ...?
