The Resident's Daughter

The Speedy Sunday Ride

He suggested to the resident’s daughter that they be invited to the workshop “Are we invited to the workshop? If you do not invite us we are dead…”  And so the ball was on the resident’s daughter’s hands.  And so she invited them after their usual round  of routine of mass and visiting.  At first they were observers.  Then they became curious.  After the workshop, the spy was surprised.  He exclaimed "Mabuhay ka Ms Denise!" as if it was the first time he saw a workshop run like that.  He approached the resident's daughter by the piano.  He asked "Can I have a ride the following day? If not it is ok.  And so the ball was on the resident’s daughters’ hand again.  She messaged him through the cellphone "Yes I can fetch and drive you to Katipunan since I also have a workshop."  

The following day, the resident’s daughter fetched him earlier than usual and met him to the seminary than to the office.  "Ms. Denise, sorry to keep you waiting.  I told you to wait for me in the office."  And so they went back to the office.  He got his coat or priestly garments.  And he brought out an apple and a bottle of mineral water.  While driving, the water bottle spilled and the driver was jolted that an elderly passerby was disturbed.  He said "You startled the old man."  While driving, they were already in Marcos Highway, the resident’s daughter read the signs.  She was reading from left to right when she was supposed to turn right.  She was still on the left most lane.  So she went the other way to the bridge.  Her speed was so fast.  And then towards the corner to the military camp, the military chaplain said “This used to be the military camp before..”  The resident’s daughter was driving.  She was speeding.  The military chaplain started to panic “slow slow, that’s an order slow…” He exclaimed "If that was an aggressive truck you could have been killed!"  

He noticed when they were about to enter the subdivision that the guard said to the resident's daughter, "What is that?" thinking that the id was from not giving the license.  Then the chaplain said “driving without a license…” when she simply gave an old ID.  She was still driving and went ahead pass the seminary and then he said “break…Denise presence of mind…” When he left the car, the resident’s daughter changed into high heeled shoes.  She walked towards the chapel.  She started singing as the whole church was to herself while the military chaplain was preparing “You are simply going to sing right?…” as if the whole act was simple.  Then he gestured to offer breakfast.
