They’re hiding files on more than just you. They’ve got dirt on half the city’s elite. Eva’s eyes widened. “That’s huge.” Lena smirked. “Exactly. We can use that to force them to back off.” Maxwell paced nearby, his phone pressed to his ear. “We’ll need everything on Aldrich’s offshore accounts,” Maxwell said. “And pull in every favor we’ve earned.” Eva met Maxwell’s gaze. “We fight smart. Not just hard.” Roman nodded. “Together.” ⸻ Later, Eva and Lena uncovered a hidden document. It was a recording of a secret meeting where Selene discussed a plan to fake Eva’s death. Eva’s breath caught. “They wanted to erase me completely.” Maxwell clenched his fists. “We’ll make sure everyone knows the truth.” ⸻ As dawn approached, Maxwell and Eva sat side by side, ready to face the storm. “Whatever comes next,” Maxwell said, “we face it as a family.” Eva smiled firmly, “Stronger than ever.”
