CHAPTER 26 She could hardly lift her feet as she shuffled down the corridor. Simon was strong enough to walk on his own now, but she wrapped her arm around his waist anyway. She could feel his whole body sigh, and she sensed the heaviness loaded in that one single breath. Her throat constricted. She bit the inside of her cheek. Six days.
