722 Words
The air crackled with tension as Leo bursted out of the room, his face a mask of fury, Ethan whispered to Blanca. ‘Look! I could hear him ranting. I knew Leo would be angry, but I haven’t anticipate him discovering the truth in such a volatile manner.” "How dare you," Leo roared, his voice echoing through the room. "How dare you betray me like this?" Blanca and Ethan exchanged a terrified glance. Hurriedly they rush to the mansion. They knew that Leo was a dangerous man, and they were afraid of what he might do. "Leo, please calm down," Blanca said, her voice trembling. "We can explain everything." Leo's face, once a mask of calm assurance, lately is now misshaped with a rage that bordered on madness. His eyes, usually filled with warmth and understanding, were now cold and unforgiving, boring into Blanca and Ethan with a intensity that seemed burn through their very souls. "You have betrayed me," he crackled, his voice barely a whisper. "You have stolen from me, lied to me, and shattered the trust I had in you." Blanca, her face pale and trembling, tried to defend herself. "Leo, please, understand. It isn’t as bad as it seemed. We are desperate." Ethan, his voice filled with a mixture of fear and defiance, stepped forward. "Dad, I love Blanca, please try to understand, I never meant to hurt you." But Leo is beyond reason. He grabbed Blanca by the arm and drags her towards him. “You’re a traitor,” he shouted, his eyes filled with rage. “You’ve been sleeping with my own son.” Ethan tried to intervene but Leo pushed him aside. “Stay out of this,” he growled. Blanca struggled against Leo’s grip, but he is too strong. She felt a sharp pain in her wrist as he twisted it. “Please, let me go,” she cried, tears streaming down her face. Leo ignored her pleas. He dragged her down the hallway, his footsteps echoing through the empty house. Ethan followed his heart pounding in his chest. But Leo was unrelenting. His anger had consumed him, clouding his judgment and blinding him to any possibility of forgiveness. He waved disdainful hand. "Get out. Both of you. Leave my house, leave my life!" The words hanged heavy in the air, filled with a finality that leave no room for doubt. Blanca and Ethan exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with a mixture of shock, disbelief, and a deep sense of loss. They knew that this was the end of their relationship. Blanca turned, her voice trembling as she spoke. "Everything will be alright." Her words, however, held a hollow ring, echoing the emptiness that had settled over the once-vibrant mansion. With heavy hearts, they continued their descent down the driveway, the sound of Leo's rage filling the air behind them. His shouts and curses, a cacophony of despair and anger, seemed to reverberate through the empty rooms, a haunting melody that would forever be etched in their memories. "It's a sound that will haunt us for the rest of our lives," Ethan replied, his voice filled with a deep despair. His words hung in the air, a stark reminder of happenings that unfolded within the mansion. As they reached the bottom of the driveway, a sudden, chilling silence fell over them. A figure emerged from the shadows, their face obscure by the moonlight. "You think this is over?" the figure hissed, their voice cold and menacing. Before they could react, the figure vanished into the night, leaving them frozen in fear. Blanca's knees buckled, and she collapsed to the ground with a gasp. Ethan rushed to her side, his face pale with shock. "Blanca, are you okay?" he asked, his voice trembling. "I... I don't know," she manages to whisper, her eyes wide with fear. "Who was that?" Just then, a piercing scream echoes from the mansion. They exchanged terrified glances, their hearts pounding. "We have to go back," Ethan said his voice urgent. "We can't leave Leo alone." As they turned to face the mansion, a chilling realization dawned on them. The figure they had seen was not just a random stranger. It was someone they knew, someone they trust. And now, that person is inside the m ansion, with Leo.
