Aspen. As soon as we reached the garden, I heard a familiar voice call out, "Aspen!" It was Luis. I walked over to him, keeping my head bowed, aware of the palpable tension in the air. I could sense Aiden's simmering rage even without looking at him. "When are you off duty?" Luis asked, his tone casual but insistent. I opened my mouth to respond, but Aiden's voice cut through the air, sharp and authoritative. "She is new, so she won't be going off," he said firmly.
