Aiden It was decided by the sitting council that I keep Dahlia's lands as payment for her treachery. She did not protest. Somehow, she knew she wouldn't be going home to her father because he could not look at her by the end of the hearing. The shock of Dahlia's revelation stayed with me. My drive back to Rain Pack was quiet and long. I did not know how to process matters. How were they managing? Whenever I had relations with Dahlia, Martin was bound to feel it. Why didn't he say something? I felt used and manipulated. "I can't believe it either," Luis said, and I could not respond.
