RoanI paced the living room as I waited for Cynthia. It was just her and me meeting with the werewolf who was supposed to give my girl a new identity.
Except she wasn't my girl. And that was the problem, wasn't it? She was upset with me, and I didn't know if my three gifts had softened her up.
Wait, I only gave her two. Crap.
I patted my pockets and found the ring I had gotten her. She'd wear it, though. She'd have no other choice. And, well...I wanted my ring on her finger.
I squeezed the diamond ring in my hand and let my power float into it, taking a part of my wolf with it. If I could've given her something more important, I would've, but what she needed was the least favorite part of what I was.
